Description of 1965 Chevrolet Impala |
I am selling my Grandmother’s 1965 Impala Sport Sedan for her at NO RESERVE. She bought this car new in Southern California where she and the car stayed until a few years ago when she moved here to Washington State. The car was her pride and joy and she took very good care of it. It is well equipped. 327 cubic inch engine, power steering, power brakes, automatic transmission, air conditioning, 6 way power seat, power windows, padded dash, dual exhaust, AM radio with rear seat speaker, two speed wipers with washers, and left and right outside rear view mirrors. It only has 95,000 miles on it. It runs and drives nicely. It starts instantly, idles smoothl, and has plenty of power. There is no smoke at start up or any other time. The steering is tight. No shakes or vibrations. It tracks straight. The power brakes stop the car quickly with no pulling or pedal pulsation. The transmission goes into gear immediately and shifts smoothly. I would not hesitate to take this car for a long trip after a thorough safety inspection by a mechanic just to be sure. I can not find any signs of rust on the car. Southern California treated it well!. It was repainted at sometime in the past. The car looks fine at 10-20 feet, but closer you can tell that it was not a high end paint job. There are two dents…one in the passenger side front door and another at the rear of the left quarter panel. A section of trim is missing from the left rear. The rear bumper is dinged. The windshield has a crack on the far right edge of the passenger side. The interior is amazing. No rips, tears, holes or even noticeable wear on the seats, panels carpet, and headliner. She had clear plastic seat covers on the seats for most of the time and heavy rubber mats on the carpets. The padded dash is cracked. The steering wheel and glove box door have some scratches. There are seat belts for 6 occupants. The AC does not blow cold. The clock does not work. Everything else seems to work fine including the radio. A few of the power windows do require an assist at times. Lubricating the mechanism is likely needed. The glove box lock is missing as is the lighter. The car comes with the original owner’s manual and a car cover. This is a NO RESERVE auction. The high bidder will own the car. The car has a current Washington State registration and title in my Grandmother’s name. She has not driven the car much since she moved here and never put the Washington plates on the car. The original California plates will go with the car. The car is located in Bellingham, WA 98229. You may pick up the car in person, or I will help load the car on the carrier of your choice. A $500 deposit is due 24 hours after auction close via PayPal. Payment must be made in full within 3 days following auction close. I prefer a wire transfer or cash in person. The title will be sent to you FedEx immediately upon receipt of the wire transfer or given to you if you pay cash. For all other payment types, neither the title nor the car will be released until the funds clear. I will store the car for up to 2 weeks after the close of the auction in a secure garage at no charge. No warranty is expressed or implied. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have about the car or for a more complete description of any part of the car. I can supply additional pictures if you need them. If you would like to inspect the car in person please contact me through the eBay email system. |
