Description of 1968 Chevrolet Camaro Restomod |
This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro Restomod is the product of a four-year restoration and there have been less than 4,500 miles put on it since then. That means an awesomely sleek look, custom A/C interior, five-speed stick-shift, four-wheel disc brakes, and a performance-built V8 under the hood all headline an awesome and fresh-looking build. Burgundy is a great color to have on this coupe. It has the aggression of red, but with a deeper tone for distinction. Plus, there's plenty of metallic element in it. So that when the sunshine hits the sheetmetal, it highlights your favorite crisp lines of this first-gen Camaro. This package delivers the classic look you expect, but with some uniqueness you'll love. You get great vintage elements, like the shining chrome bumpers, front air dam, full-width rear spoiler, and power bulge of the super scoop cowl hood. But there are also great custom details, like the clear headlights, digital taillights, and modern Boss alloys with an aggressive 18/20-inch front/rear stance. The same classic with upgrades feeling continues inside. You have a black interior that feels fresh from the right investments, including the headliner, carpeting, dash pad, and door panels. Even the bucket seats look fresh, right down to the stitching. Plus, the exterior-matching burgundy inserts in the dash offer a distinct splash of color. There are terrific upgrades for comfort, like power front windows, a retro-style AM/FM digital tuner with aux input for your iPod, and cold-blowing R134a air conditioning. This is built for performance, too, with the flame-style sport steering wheel on tilt column, so you can get a clear view to the upgraded full AutoMeter gauge panel. And have you counted the gears on the stick shift yet? Under the hood is an award worthy-presentation. They took the extra time to give you smooth color-matched inner walls, plenty of shining components, and an overall tidy look. But you're going to love this for far more than just how it looks. This is a full performance build that starts with a 400 cubic-inch V8 bored .30 over. It has the right go-fast goodies, like a Holley four-barrel carburetor, hi-rise intake, and ceramic-coated long tube headers that adds power while contributing to the rumble of the dual exhaust. It also has the right supporting components, like a March pulley system, Painless wiring, and an aluminum radiator w/dual electric fans. The Tremec TKO600 five-speed manual transmission is stout enough to handle the big muscle, and it also gives you full control over the powerband. This feeds a stout Ford 9-inch rear with 35 spline and 4.11 gears for powerful take-offs. And as you look at the undercarriage photos, you're going to see a clean suspension with terrific upgrades, like a Mustang II-style front end with tubular A-arms and a reinforced ladder bar rear. This one really is built for stout power. That's why you have items to keep this one strong, like engine bay reinforcement bars and frame connectors. Plus, there's Wilwood drilled & slotted four-wheel disc brakes, power steering, and grippy ZR-rated tires. Complete with build receipts, this is the restored Camaro that provides slick distinction, extra comfort, and serious power. So don't miss this deal. Call today!!! |
