Description of 1964 Chevrolet Corvette Leather seats |
NO RESERVE! 1964 Corvette Convertible White convertible top and painted hard top Bolt on knock-off wheels with nice tires. Non matching numbers. 350 engine with automatic and 373 rear gear. Power steering. The car has been listed on the internet for $39,500 over the winter. I have had several offers of $32,000 based on photo ads alone. No one has viewed the car in person. I posted 6 videos and 24 super size photos. Videos were taken Friday March 6th 2020. YouTube video links are at the bottom of the description.
Paint is average quality. 25+ years old with chips, scratches and a color blend on the front. However the body is solid with no cracks or damage and factory bonding strips. Could be repainted easy, no major restoration needed. All gaps are good. Hoo, deck lid and doors open and close like a 1964 Corvette. 1976 Chevrolet 350 engine. Eldelbrock performer cylinder heads and carburetor. Larger lift camshaft, MSD ignition box with tach drive distributor. Runs good and has good power. Rebuilt 2 speed automatic transmission in 2016 and a differential change to 373 in 2018. I have driven the car 50 miles in the last 2 days with no issues. Interior dash has been painted. Leather seats were added in the early 90s are showing some wear. Carpets looks nice, seat belts have been dyed black but they were blue. Door panels have speakers. Most everything works as it should. Clock, gauges, radio, wipers, cigarette lighter, courtesy lights, horn, turn signals, brake lights, headlights and motors, windows, locks and ignition. New battery was install last fall. No battery issues and the clock keeps time correctly. I have paperwork indicating the heater core was leaking in the early 90s. No heater hoses are running to the heater core, they are looped. Chrome and trim is in good condition, same as the car. The jack and handle are aftermarket. There is no spare tire or wheel. The frame has had some rust issues in the past. The kick up area has been reinforced / repaired. This repair was done long ago. You would never know it had any issues unless you have it on a lift. See pics This is a whole car that can be driven and enjoyed today without needing a restoration. My wife enjoys riding in it, I enjoy driving it. Thumbs up everywhere. You can drive it, leave it in a parking lot and not worry about it. Could be a great start for a resto-mod. Why mess with the heater core when you could update to Vintage Air? I am keeping it reasonablly priced. Can you see its potential? The value of these cars is always on the rise. Drive this car as is and take care of it for 5 years, in my opinion, you will never loose. Previous owner had it 18 years. Nothing like driving a C2 with the top down on a sunny afternoon.
