Description of 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS Restomod |
Premium, vintage, upgraded, and powerful... this 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS Restomod makes all the right first impressions. So with its sleek appearance, custom interior, five-speed stick, and 500+ hp stroker motor, this coupe has you in love/lust at first sight. This coupe wants to project an image of sophisticated and upgraded all in the first glance. That's why they utilized a more modern shade of GM's Ricochet Silver. It takes advantage of a solid investment in a professional application to deliver a finish that radiates in the sunlight. The shine also helps to highlight the good panel fit and straight sheetmetal throughout. This level of quality is essential on the '69 Camaros because of the iconic front fender line that races into the door almost seamlessly. This is an X-11 car, and because this one wants the full performance look of a Super Sport, it gets all the right aggressive pieces. This includes the front chin spoiler, super scoop cowl hood, proper SS badging, and full-width rear spoiler. The SS hockey stick stripes are finished in black to coordinate with the premium vinyl roof, and they both look terrific against the silver. And while this is quite a vintage package, the upgraded Eagle Alloy polished 18-inch wheels hint at the upgrades within. We like it when the exterior accents are a preview of what's inside, and let's face it, a muscle car deserves an all-black interior. There was a solid investment getting the vintage pieces correct, like the bucket seats w/headrests, fresh carpeting, taut door panels, and a nice center console. But what you'll really love this one for are the upgrades. The Budnik chrome steering wheel has a grippy leather wrap, and the shifter is a crisp Hurst unit. Plus, the gauges have all been upgraded to AutoMeter Carbon Fiber Ultra-Lite units, including the auxiliary readouts on the center console. It's a terrific performance package, so while they were nice enough to upgrade the stereo to an AM/FM/CD unit with Bluetooth, you really know your favorite soundtrack begins in the engine bay. You may have noticed something special on the fender callouts. As you open the hood it reveals a true performance-built motor that that's looking absolutely clean and mean in the engine bay. Smooth fender walls, bright components, steel braided hoses, and cast valve covers give this the look of a serious machine. That's because you have a 383 cubic-inch stroker V8 built with go-fast goodies like AFR aluminum heads, Demon dual-feed four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock hi-rise intake, and Hooker ceramic-coated headers that add even more power as they contribute to the rumble of the dual exhaust. Plus, this has the right supporting components, like an MSD ignition, upgraded pulleys, and a Ron Davis aluminum radiator w/electric fan. You have complete control over this monster motor and its thunderous soundtrack with the stout Tremec TKO600 five-speed manual transmission. Control is a central theme thanks upgrades like the Speedtech tubular A-arm front suspension, power steering, power brakes w/ discs up front, and 12-bolt Positraction rear end. The sale comes complete with build receipts and maintenance records. A total package like this wrapped around iconic sheetmetal is a rarity, so don't let it slip away. Call today!!! |
