Description of 1964 Chevrolet El Camino |
I am the third owner of the El Camino. It runs well and I don't know of any problems. The AM radio works. the heater works. the clock runs slow; and that's about all of it's features. The wheels were bought by the second owner a couple of years ago. I'm told that the first owner was a fellow from Newport TN. his heirs sold it to the second owner who's a friend of mine. I've had it for about a year; I'm not a car guy and want my garage space back. It was modified by the first owner to have an electronic ignition. I was told that it was repainted by the first owner to it's original color. The car doesn't like to start when it's cold. it might take two or three tries. I had the radiator rebuilt because of a pinhole leak and had the water pump and thermostat replaced. While I think that this is correct odometer mileage. I have no way to be sure. The high bidder will need to have a $500. 00 deposit within 24 hours of the auction through PayPal. The balance of the money is due and payable within 5 days of ending of auction. Final payment accepted by bank wire transfer or cash or cashiers check. funds clearing the bank. prior to release of car and title. This car is at my place in Oak Ridge. Tennessee (near Knoxville) and can be viewed by appointment before the end of this auction. It's being sold as is and the purchaser is responsible for shipping although I can drive it to a station for shipping. within a 20 mile radius. The Buyer is responsible for transport arrangements and financial costs. |
