Description of 1949 Chevrolet Other Pickups |
1949 Chevrolet pickup, 3600 Commercial. Clean Nebraska Title, truck runs and moves. I purchased it as you see the body, and got it running once it was home. Someone started on this project and then it sat in a garage for many years. Fuel in tank needs drained. Truck has 12 volt battery in it, has newer inline 6 that runs great. Newer exhaust. Using a clean fuel line to the pump from a can this thing runs great. Engine uses newer side mount bosses and has brackets bolted to frame, but could use better crossmember support underneath if you leave it this way. Clutch seems to work like it should. Brakes are questionable. Has had some newer wiring put in and key switch. Turn the key and she fires right up. The front rims in the photos are included, however, it will have other rims on front when you pick it up. The person I bought it from complained that the front brakes were always hanging up, but the reality is that the rims are the wrong ones and hit the outer tie rods and rub on the rim. Body has usual dings and dents, but almost rust free. Probably the best I've seen in many years. As you can see in the photos someone stripped paint and primered things up. Photos show truck as good as I can. Side windows are in doors but are both cracked. Truck does not have door strikers or latches at this time, but I have brand new ones from Classic Chevy truck parts in the box that go with it including bolts. Seat is good. Could probably spend a little time on the brakes and have it on the road. Please ask any questions, but don't be a person who asks a bunch of questions with 10 minutes left in the auction. I'm not going out in the dark to send you an additional photo. I don't need help selling, I am a licensed Nebraska dealer and you will receive all proper paperwork when you pick it up. Your purchase is binding. I will help load, and if you use a shipping company I will help them in any way I can with 48 hours notice. If using buy it now, payment is required immediately. If winner of auction, $500 deposit via paypal and total payment within 3 days. You can make that payment with paypal, wire transfer, or cash in person unless another arrangement is made. I will store for 14 days with no fees. After that, storage at $15/day accrues unless other arrangements are made.
