Description of 1941 Chevrolet Other Sedan Streetrod

Well, you can pretty much throw your ideas of staying out of sight right out of the window if you take this wild 1941 Chevrolet Master Sedan Streetrod home with you. Bright fuchsia paint, wild stripes, a trick front end, a rumbling small-block V8 motor, and all the other stuff that makes hot rods awesome is standard equipment on this unique Chevy. If you like the look of this '41, then you're going to love the ride.

Although the build may look a bit dated today, it's obvious that lots of money was spent on the paint and interior on this car, and with only 2,120 miles on the clock since the build it's all holding up well. The big-fender '41 Chevys were always attractive cars, and with a few custom tweaks, this one takes on a slick hot-rod look that's impeccably smooth. Other than the custom front end, the top was chopped, the bumpers were deleted, door handles smoothed, taillights were frenched-in, and the result is a one-of-a-kind custom look that great on the steel body. It's all about the details if you want to stand out, Plus block sanding... lots and lots of block sanding before the paint is applied. The bright fuchsia paint has a bunch of metallic in it, so there's a glow to it when the light hits it just right, and those unique multi-colored stripes are so intricate and detailed that they probably took two weeks to paint all by themselves. You'll note that much of the trim was deleted, which really makes that front billet grille and those bright rims pop against the paint. Although it still shows great it's not perfect, since it's been on the body for several years, but most of the minor issues could easily be eradicated with a professional cut-and-buff. That aforementioned trick grille is a cool fabricated piece with hidden headlights behind the horizontal billet bars, giving it a smooth, one-of-a-kind look. The windshield was Vee'd, all the windows were tinted, and discreet side mirrors were fitted to the front doors. Other smooth tricks include a frenched-in rear license plate holder, notched sections for the dual exhaust tips, and a killer stance set on those flashy rims.

The comfortable interior is well beyond your usual hot rod fare, incorporating comfortable tweed bench seats and more of that bright fuchsia color to great effect. The tweed upholstery throughout the cabin still feels upscale and supple, and the seats are firm are all-day comfortable. They brought the fuchsia paint inside for the dash and metal parts, although the black carpet does a nice job of neutralizing things inside a bit. The custom-made and slick-painted dashboard is absolutely beautiful with its set of retro-style AAK gauges, and an aftermarket R134a A/C system was artfully incorporated underneath and it blows nice and cold. Other options include power windows and power locks, an awesome retro-style AM/FM/AUX stereo inside the dash, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel atop a polished tilt column that provides a lot more room for the driver. Four doors and a full-width back seat means this is a family-friendly rod, and out back the spacious trunk features a relocated battery and full-size spare tire and jack set, so you can feel free to hit the road in style.

Cruising is effortless, but this Chevy is also downright responsive thanks to a 383 cubic inch stroker V8 which has been dressed in lots of chrome and polished bits. The engine bay's coordination with the bodywork is evident and they really went the extra mile to make it look right, hood up or hood down. Equipment like a 4-barrel carburetor, a polished high-rise intake, and block-hugging headers help the fast-revving small-block motor build horsepower and with a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission, it's plenty punchy around town. The chassis was reinforced and upgraded with newer coils and shocks, while out back there's a beefy 10-bolt rear end that's more than capable of handling all the extra torque. Power steering and power front disc brakes are a sensible upgrade, and a dual exhaust system with glasspack-style mufflers sounds downright mean. 17-inch Panther chrome wheels are polished up nicely and wear 225/45/17 performance radials to finish the look.
