Description of 1967 Chevrolet Corvair

1967 Corvair Convertible beautifully restored by meticulous mechanic/fabricator. Extraordinary custom work completed 8 years ago on this 1 of 8 cars the original owner built. Cortez Silver exterior in excellent condition, highest quality white convertible top in like new condition with a restored interior frame and motorized power operation. One of a kind Continental Kit including custom built bumpers, cowling, chrome trim bars and tire cover plus four gorgeous '61 Cadillac tail lights to complete the look!

Attractive red trim interior with custom leather bucket seats from another make of vehicle with power driver’s seat, two-tone leather door panels and rear seat, custom carpets in accenting red plus a lockable center console between the front seats. Tastefully converted to a Corsa model with appropriate emblems on the front quarter panels, Corsa dash with proper instrument cluster and glove box panel.

The 140hp engine with four carbs working perfectly is mated recently replaced PowerGuilde 2 speed automatic and a 3:55 ratio rear axle (with only 27k original miles) makes for great performance in town and on the highway. Upgraded dual master cylinder, rebuilt brakes, custom ‘hide a lock’ rear lid latch, custom chrome trim front bumper and chrome rear luggage rack and so much more.See listing photos or contact me for full res shots.

‘Silver Slippers’ are included in the 14” 50 spoke American made chrome spoke wheels fitted with brand new UniRoyal Tiger Paw P195/75r/14 tires.

Actual mileage is unknown as the Corsa dash was installed but, I purchased it several years ago from the daughter of the designer/builder. She had received the car as a gift from her father before his passing and kept it as ‘Neat as a pin’ only occasionally taking it to cruise in's or car show.

You will not find a more eye catching Corvair Convertible anywhere and you’ll have plenty of attention with other car enthusiast wanting to know about GM offering a Continental Kit for the Corvair… it’s a blast to drive and enjoy.

Don’t hesitate to send me any questions and I’ll post the answer timely for all to see.
