We are proud to offer this amazing low mile 1978 Chevrolet El Camino Truck. This El Camino looks great with the two-tone paint and custom exterior. a super clean 305 engine. Automatic drive train shifts smoothly. Car starts, idles, runs, and drives perfectly. There are no clunks, slips, drips, or skips. This never has seen any winter outside weather and was the previous owners pride and joy as he took it to many local car shows for many years and won many trophy's with her. It was only because old old age and health reasons that it this beautiful car is on the market."

Disclosures: "Air Conditioning blows cool only, not cold, may need a charge but not sure. Cruise control does not work. Clock works for awhile but stops occasionally until it is adjusted then it starts running again.Drivers seat is stuck way back and is presently more suited for a taller person the way it is. I am 5'8" and it is a bit of a stretch for me, but not too bad. We are going to look into that and possibly have it resolved soon. Drivers seat has the small hole shown in pic. The drivers and passengers side seatbelts work as theyshould. The42 year old Original Clock still works but sticks occasionally until you touch the handle then it starts running again.The topper shocks are weak and will not hold it up by themselves, but the lid has a custom bar to hold it open, see pics."

The 1978 El Camino was produced in four trim levels: Classic, Black Knight (1978)/Royal Knight The optional 305 cubic-inch small block V8 was rated at 150 or 165hp (112 or 123kW),

A new,trimmerEl Camino was unveiled in 1978, adopting the new, more sharp-edged Malibu styling, and a one-inch longer wheelbase of 117in (2,972mm). The front end sheet metal and doors were shared with the Malibu, and the rear tailgate and bumper was shared with the Malibu station wagon. For the first time, though, the El Camino had a unique chassis â€“ it was shared with no other Chevrolet. The front end featured a new single rectangular headlight design. The base engine was a 200-cubic-inch (3.3-liter) V6 that developed 95hp (71kW), except in California where, to meet emissions standards, the 231-cubic-inch Buick engine was the base engine. Two upgrades could be ordered: a 305-cubic-inch V8 with 145hp (108kW), or a 350-cubic-inch V8 with 170hp (127kW) that was only available in El Caminos and Malibu station wagons. It was not available on Malibu passenger cars (with exception to coupe and sedan Malibu 9C1 police vehicles). Among GM makes, at least, the era of bigness was fading into history, overtaken by a new age of efficiency and economy.
