GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1973 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Sport Coupe for purchase. From 1970 to 2007, Chevrolet used the Monte Carlo name plate for their highly successful 2-door coupe. The first two generations were produced off the famous GM A-body platform that produced some of the best muscle cars ever built (GTO, Chevelle, 442, Buick GS, etc). Despite the Arab Oil Embargo during the 2nd generation of these cars, sales continued to grow leading General Motors to produce more true "personal luxury" cars. It was 1973 and Chevrolet took the bold step of creating a brand new look for the Monte Carlo. What resulted was this and what became Motor Trend's Car of the Year. In the rare color known as "Emerald Bronze," this 1973 Monte Carlo landau coupe sports an all original black interior which is in very good condition with a fully restored landau top. Maintenance of this nearly 50 year old has included new master cylinder and power steering pump and alternator and newer tires. Other highlights include power windows, power locks, Blaupunkt stereo, power brakes, power steering, air conditioning however there is no belt to drive the pulley. It is powered by its 350 v8 paired with an automatic transmission. The car roars to life and shifts as it should.
