Time has come to sell my dad’s 1981 Chevrolet El Camino Conquista. It was purchased by him as a second owner, with low mileage (~7K) in the mid-1980’s and it was his daily driver until a few years before he passed. The photos will show the overall condition. I am listing the details and problems that I know about below. Before you bid, please message me for a link to a complete set of photos!!! 305 C.I.D. V8 w/ 4 Bbl carburetor Conquista trim package with original wheels Non-smoking vehicle, no leaks or odors Spare tire and jack included Was partially or completely repainted at some point due to minor body damage, not rust There are a few minor scratches in the paint (see photos) Paint colors arePastel Waxberry / Light Waxberry Metallic I don’t have the details on the repaint, but it all looks as good as original 78,800 ( actual miles (approx, may vary as I try to drive it regularly) Seat has been recovered with quality material No cracks in dash Air conditioning has been converted from R12 to R134a and does cool, however there is a slow leak in the system that will need to be addressed Original windshield is in excellent condition, no chips/pocks. Rarely driven on major highways. All glass in great shape, manual windows There are some issues with the driver’s seatbelt latch, will need to be replaced There is a factory cruise control, but it doesn’t appear to be working (it was working within the year) OEM factory air shocks (not tested) Original floormats NOT included Pioneer AM/FM/CD player Carpet is original, in good condition, with some minor staining and discoloration Valve covers are leaking some oil around the gaskets New Toyo Extensa All Season tires No major rust issues due to having a Ziebart rust inhibitor applied early at under 10K miles Available for pickup or examination in Waynesville, NC I will work with the buyer to facilitate shipping or delivery.
