NO RESERVE!!!Up for sale is a highly optioned 1969 CHEVY Camaro RS with x11 package. Needs completion. I installed all the metal on this car back in the mid 90s for a friend at the time. Since then he sold it and supposedly changed owners a couple times but never completed. The owner I bought it from had it painted the original color and put z28 stripes on as per his taste but never mechanically finished. I bought it 4 years ago and saving it to finish when I retire, but being retired now and having health issues it’s not fun being in pain trying to do work on it. I recently put a new transmission in and struggled to get through it. The motor runs great (from a 1970) does have a very slight drip coming from it but runs great. If my memory is correct when I did the metal work as a job in the mid-late 90s the customer said he wanted this car for years but that owner wouldn’t sell it because it was his son’s car that passed away I do remember he said it was in the same spot for at least 12 years before he purchased it.Fast forward to 2020 I physically can’t work on this to complete it anymore but it is a highly optioned car for its era.It has factory air conditioning, power windows, tilt wheel. The 350 is out of a 1970 and I just had the turbo 350 fully gone through and putting it back made my decision I can’t do this work anymore. The motor runs great but has a little leak when sitting, maybe just the pan idk. It hurts just getting under the car to look.It needs a once over because this car never hit the road.I remember this car when I cut the windshield out was last registered in the mid 80s that’s probably the last time it was usedOdometer shows 69,558 and its titled now with that mileage.I also changed the long brake line to complete all new lines but never filled and bled the system. Fuel tank was new by looking inside and I just put a new sending unit in.A lot of new parts in the trunk as well as new bumpers grill etc. Everything I have will go with the car.I know there are a lot of clones but this is truly a RS x11I will post some pics of when I did the metal work for the friend at the time.I also took apart the dash by the headlight switch and took a pic to show it wasn’t chopped up as the metal on the regular Camaro had to be cut for the vaccum headlight switch. It also has the 1” hole stamped out, not cut by the brake booster for the RS headlight vacuum lines. If you have the time to give a once over on the car it will be a real head turner. The paint might be 12 years old and has a couple chips here and there and a 4” scratch (not dent)in the right quarter panel prob a bicycle scratch. The right pass door has some bumps in the paint that might sand and polish otherwise the paint looks really nice for the age. The car can start and is not that far from running. I just lost interest. I have a new pinion seal but never put in, the driveshaft has new U joints. The seats were done and have new door panels but some interior panels are missingThe console is missing also Everything just needs a once over and completion. All my aching bones took me out of this car mentallyIt is being sold AS IS but there is a lot of parts bought by different owners through the years that will go with the car.Not happy to see it go but would rather see someone be able to complete and enjoy it. New owner responsible for shipping if needed.GOOD LUCK!
