1992 Chevrolet Blazer After a long period of use in referencing a larger truck-like Chevrolet vehicle, the Blazer name was applied to a mid-sized product in 1984 as a direct competitor against the Jeep Cherokee. Since its inception as a mid-sized sport utility vehicle, the Chevrolet Blazer was built on a ladder frame chassis shared with the S-10 compact truck. For consignment this very clean 1992 version of the Trailblazer or "Blazer" as commonly known, is a one owner truck, has 102K one owner original miles, and drives like new. Will go through anything with plenty of 5.7 liter V8 power, 4 x 4 and a 4-speed automatic transmission. Get your motor run-in, lookin' for adventure in whatever comes your way...born to be wild! Exterior This larger size model of 1992 is bathed in summit white, has excellent straight galvanized steel panels, consistent gaps, and a lower two tone gunmetal gray draping the exterior. A blackout grille and blackout bumpers halogen headlights, along with blackout trimmings, black tinted windows, black running boards and black plastic fender guards is a bit menacing in its tall 4 x 4 stance. A metal sun visor is attached above the windshield and sports extra lighting giving it that bog rig feel. A roof rack for extra storage of gear, and a tow package installed, your options are limitless within the openness of the wilds harkening. Interior Gray custom cloth high back seats (covered for protection, and pristine underneath) flank a large central console again with more storage space. In back is a comfortable bench which can fold away to reveal a large cargo area. When up with passengers, there is plenty of room behind it for gear. Door panels remain very clean, as does the carpet, and headliner. Within this headliner is a triple fold down storage compartment for remotes, glasses, and other sundry small items. The original square and rectangle design dash, very clean, fronts the seats. Your 4 x 4 shifter is installed in the center under the dash. 4 wheel ABS, power brakes, and power steering aid in your descent from the high altitude excitement you've been to. Drivetrain 5.7 liters of V8 power are under the hood and is looking shiny and nice for the camera. Obviously well maintained and cared for, it is topped with a 2-barrel carburetor and backed up by a 4-speed automatic transmission. A 30-gallon gas tank will allow you to go far off the beaten path, into the deep wilds. Undercarriage Very clean and surface rust on some usual suspects, however very structurally sound. Consigner states a new exhaust system is installed, power disc brakes up front, and power drums for the rear. Variable ratio power steering for those hard to negotiate trails, and Independent front suspension makes things a bit less rocky. Two stage multi-link rear suspension is on, and we are 4 x 4-in'. Drive-Ability This truck fired right up, idled smoothly, and ran like a champ through and over the test track. No, our test track does not have a mountain to climb, but I did put it onto 4 x 4 drive mode, and all was well, I just needed a foot of snow. All functions worked well, and it provides a very comfortable environment to an otherwise potentially harsh environment on the outside. A 1 owner truck, well cared for, and lovingly used, now ready for its second 100K of climbs, swims, rocks, mud and dirt. Grab your groover, tent and some kindling, and enjoy the great outdoors with full 1992 access, and total comfort. Ahhhhhhhhooooooowwww!
