Description of 1964 Chevrolet Corvair |
I have owned this numbers matching 1964 Corvair Spyder for 24 years (since 1991). In the years since 1991. I have slowly restored this Corvair and it is in beautiful condition. This Corvair is featured in a five page spread in the April 2015 edition of Hemming's Muscle Machine Magazine. The two most valuable and rare options on this Corvair are the original Kelsey Hayes wire wheels and the factory turbocharger oil-bath pre-filter. Other options include factory dash clock. original simulated wood steering wheel. trunk and engine compartment lights. and the emergency brake indicator light. This Corvair runs and drives beautifully. and could easily and safely be driven across the entire U. S. The engine. transmission. and differential have approximately 8400 miles on them since being rebuilt. This Arizona car has never had any rust as can be seen in my restoration photographs (I have approximately 1. 00 restoration photographs). I moved from Arizona to North Carolina in July of last year and am selling it because it is time. after 24 years. for someone else to start enjoying it. I find I am not driving it as much as I once did. primarily because the weather here in NC is not as conducive to driving a restored vehicle as Arizona was. If you have any questions. please ask. |
