Description of 1965 Chevrolet Impala

I am putting my 1965 Chevrolet Biscayne 396, 4 speed, 12 bolt Pozirear end2 door up for sale for the first time since completion. I built this car with all factory parts, exactly the way it would have come from the factory if you wanted to buy a big block car in 1965. No expense was spared on this build and as you can see in the pictures it is 100% complete and ready to go. I started with, an absolutely beautiful, rust free, 6cyl car painted as you see it now. I then put together all the components to be an exact replica of a factory 396, 4spd car right down to the smallest detail. There was a massive amount of time and money spent researching and collecting everything for this car. The engine is a 1966 396 serial # 385596, bored out to 407 cubic inches. Added all new pistons, rods, Clevite bearings, dual roller timing chain and everything needed to make this an all new engine and a fantastic powerful performer. This was expertly built to exacting standards and top quality. I have a long list of parts and pieces I am happy to share with you, way too much to list here. The heads are 1965/66 casting number 3856206, oval port closed chamber 97.2cc. They were treated to hardened valve seats, bronze guides, hardened push rods, roller rockers plus all the other performance parts you could add to these. Fully machined and built by expert hands. The transmission is a Muncie M20, 220 ratio bolted up to a very rare bell housing with a casting #3855961. This was treated to a complete rebuild with an 11” clutch for better performance. Nothing was left untouched and it performs as new. It was installed and topped off with the correct GM shifter for a bench seat car. All of this money and hard work shows when you drive it. The engine has power to spare and the transmission shifts like new so you can drive this anywhere you like. As you can see from the photos basically everything was replaced to make this a super dependable fun to drive car. A short list would be: cleaned fuel tank with new sender and all new fuel line front to back, new u-joints, new correct 4 core radiator, new aluminized exhaust with correct hangers, correct distributor with Pertronix upgrade, all new front suspension, all new brakes and so much more. Way too much to list here. Nothing has been left untouched to make this a perfect running, driving car. This is definitely a must see to appreciate car. Perfect for cruise nights, car shows or a trip to hot august nights. I would not hesitate to drive this anywhere! I am happy to answer any questions you may have on this and happy to share all I have done. Call 2five3 six eight six 19 five seven. This would be impossible to duplicate now and it would cost you much, much more to build than what I am asking. There is a ton of value in this car for the person wishing they could have bought something like this back in 65 and it has less than 1,000 miles on the restoration work. You won't be disappointed.
