The Sunset Orange Metallic paint has an almost copper-like tone, and the body has the look as if it was treated like a precious metal. So you have a deep luster and a smooth shine that loves to let the sunlight roll evenly across the panels. It's a good thing that chrome all around this car has a mirror-like presence, because anything less could never compete with the paint for the attention-grabbing shine. But the appeal in this one is beyond its radiance. You have already noticed some upgrades such as cowl induction hood and D80 rear spoiler. Thoughtful builds like this are also all about being comfortable drivers. That's why you have great upgrades like the custom armrest center console, a retro-style AM/FM digital tuner w/cassette, and air conditioning blowing cold with modern R134a refrigerant. Upgraded pedals, a sports steering wheel on a chrome tilt column, and a full set of AutoMeter Carbon Fiber gauges are all about giving you that performance tingle. And that bright Hurst shifter on the four-speed is just calling out for your right hand.
The engine bay is just as award-worthy as the rest of this custom build. Those ultra clean inner fenders funnel your attention to the motor in the middle with the mean matte finish. And there are great details everywhere - from the Ringbrothers hood hinges to the orange bow tie on the Chevrolet valve covers. And we know you'll love talking about this motor. It's a 358 cubic-inch V8 (yes, the same displacement allowed by NASCAR.) It's built with aluminum heads, a Summit four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock aluminum intake, and Hooker long tube headers that feed into an H-pipe and Magnaflow mufflers. And this has the right supporting pieces, like upgraded pulleys and an aluminum radiator w/dual electric fans. So this mighty motor was truly made to run. As you look at the undercarriage photos, you'll see a clean and painted presentation that will have you putting a mirror under this coupe. But don't forget to also spot the great driving upgrades, like Detroit Speed tubular control arms up front, upgraded sway bar, and frame connectors.
