Description of 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Tribute |
This 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Tribute was given plenty of impressive investments to have a sleek exterior, quality interior, and a show-ready small block that gives you plenty of power. So if you've been looking for a well-done and well-priced icon, this should be the end of your search. This was the final year for one of the best muscle car designs ever. So they paid extra attention to getting the look right. The red paint has a deep gloss from a quality application. And it has a great canvas thanks to super-straight sheetmetal and good body gaps. Even the big chrome bumpers look new. As a proper Super Sport tribute this one gets the pieces correct. The black racing stripes look awesome against the red paint, and they coordinate with the blackout SS grille. There's the power bulge of the cowl hood, hood pins, correct badging, big dual exhaust tips, and a set of correct later-style SS wheels. So it's the kind of muscle machine that you'll proudly take a few laps at the cruise-in before taking a prime parking spot. The black stripes of the outside are a preview of the full black interior. And just like the exterior, you can see they made a solid investment in here. The seats, door panels, headliner, carpeting, dash, and the other fundamental furnishings look nice. There is room for improvement in some supplementary details. For example, the radio looks like it's time for updating, and the controls show that this was likely a factory A/C car, although you will need an investment in components to return that function. But nothing gets in the way of that true classic muscle car feeling. You have the high-back bucket seats, center console with horseshoe shifter, and a NK4 sports steering wheel. And not only do you have a full round gauge package with large speedo and tach, but also there are cleanly installed auxiliary gauges to keep an eye on what's going on under the hood. The engine bay has a powerful and fresh presentation. The bold orange block radiates from within all the dark components, including the cool-looking matte black air topper and matching valve covers. The wiper motor, brake booster, master cylinder, and hood hinges all look fresh in a coordinating matte silver. In fact, everything look clean right down to the belts, wires, and hoses. And as you dig deeper, you'll see Chevy's mighty 350 cubic-inch V8 has been upgraded with a Quick Fuel Slayer four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock Performer EPS intake, and ceramic-coated headers. It's a strong-running package that gives a the Magnaflow dual exhaust system a nice V8 rumble. And because a Chevelle like this was built to drive, you have good features, like a three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes, and wide modern radial tires. This is the final year for this iconic generation, so it's great to find a SS tribute that really has the look and feel of a proper muscle car. Call today!!! |
