Description of 1978 Chevrolet Malibu |
1978 Chevrolet Malibu Pro Street Here’s an interesting hot rod built in the 90s. This outstanding showpiece came out of a collection of high-end cars. One family owned until recently. Always stored in a climate-controlled garage. Car was professionally built, maintained, detailed and almost never used. I think it was only on the track twice. Street legal - check your state. Very high build quality and craftsmanship. Spotless. Zero rust. Lots of high-end gear, chrome, polished aluminum and stainless steel. The long-term owner bought this car at Bast Chevrolet in Wantagh NY as a birthday gift for his mother in 1978. It originally was a high-optioned car. She drove it until she died and then her son honored her by commissioning the build you see here. The majority of the work was performed by Scott Shafiroff Racing Enterprises - a celebrated builder with a great reputation. I have invoices that date back to new, including Protect-O-Plate, owner’s manual, dealer invoice and files and books full of invoices for all the work that has been performed. The owner was an extremely organized perfectionist who loved his cars. He was a friend and a customer who sadly passed away a few years ago. I don’t have use for this car so it should go to someone who can appreciate it for what it was intended. Starts, runs and drives fantastic. No unusual noises, smoke or leaks.
