Description of 1951 Chevrolet Classic |
Hey everyone, I purchased this off of eBay a while ago and was planning on further building on it for a super cool Patina truck, however, with life changing events (children!!) and the pandemic, the truck has sat in front of my house for a while and it’s time to send it to a new, more enthusiastic owner Most of the info I have came from the guy I bought it from, and from what I can tell, it’s a 51 chevy sitting on an S10 chassis with 20 inch wheels and disc brakes, 350 motor with 4 speed auto trick shifter, truck sits low and is a fairly rigid ride, starts well and runs ok, I think the carb needs some tuning and I really haven’t driven it hard in the freeway or longer than 15-20 mile drives to know gas mileage or speed; to be honest, I am not sure if I feel safe enough for high speed driving with a truck with no airbags and a hard steering wheel! Lights work, signals and brake lights works; there is one or two small spots that when the truck has been sitting for a few weeks, will get maybe 10 drops of oil on. I have an old proper steering wheel and some window stripping and the frame for the headline that I will include; no radio, dash door needs lock or a way to close, windows roll and have a new handle but the gears on the inside portion are a bit stripped; Mileage is unknown, horn doesn’t work, all glass looks good and appears original, obviously some rust on all panels, none on frame, new exhaust, electrical work under dash, radiator, NM historical plate; I was planning on having it as a non op while I build on it but never changed to CA plates and since the pandemic, just sat around in my driveway Wood in the back looks good, I think the coating is coming off a bit, I am open to offers and will likely have it for sale locally. I can help with shipping; Good luck; ask as many questions as you like, I will try my best to answer all I don’t need help selling it, cash in person, or bank transfer only; 500 dollar deposit with paypal I have a video of a walk around and start up but can't add here for some reason, I can text or email |
