I've decided to sell my true VIN #'s matching 1968 396 SS Chevelle. The VIN is stamped on the block and clearly visible so it is undeniably a numbers matching car. The color is also original butter nut yellow and the original interior is in good shape for a 52 year old car. The downside is the car will need metal work including floor pans and trunk pan. The hood and deck lid will need to be replaced too but but all of the replacement body parts are inexpensive and readily available online. From what I can tell, it hasn't been monkey'd with and appears to have all of the original parts including the original carb, exhaust manifolds, distributor, valve covers, etc. The 396 has a suffix code of ET which indicates it is a 325hp 396. It has a TH400 trans and obviously a 12-bolt rear end. It has bench seats with column shift on the tilt steering column. The drive train alone is worth $6500 but its rare to have a unmolested #'s matching example of a SS Chevelle so I figure someone else would want to restore it. I have a clear Florida title.
