1986 Chevrolet C10 Pickup It started with a simple idea: a few car chassis fitted with hand-built beds to help carry materials around a booming car factory. Before long, millions of Chevrolet pickups were woven into the fabric of a fast-growing country. Chevy trucks tackled the toughest jobs on farms and in the fields; hauled tools and lumber to the burgeoning suburbs; and carried families and friends into and out of the wilds for well-earned vacations. For consignment, a 1986 Chevrolet pickup truck that has been the beneficiary of a restoration 1 year ago. A spicy 383ci small block V8 mill, Turbo 400 transmission with a shift kit, some super fly black paint, and a completely new interior. Let's just say have a look and I'm sure you will be impressed as I was, and definitely had a yearning to look into this truck deeper. Exterior Classic Chevrolet trucks from the 80's are quite the hot item these days. Any classic truck is for that matter, but truth be told, it's the boxy retro look that people are after, and this truck is the epitome of that design. A straight horizontal ribbed grille with its stacked inset headlights and parking light setup on either side, and on this example a blackened bow tie in the center. Shiny and mirror-like would best describe the bumper below. This beautiful setup fronts straight steel, with well minded gaps, all bathed in deep end of the pool black paint. A dual red pinstripe is added on just below the belt liner just to grab you and make you move closer! Good chrome attachments are on the doors in the form of mirrors, and handles. All glass surrounds have been blackened. The short bed version is covered with a black tonneau steel reinforced bed cover, and underneath is the rubber lined bed looking good. You will have to inspect closely on this truck to find any real faults as a really nice job on the restoration has been performed. 16 inch drilled and polished wheels have a crossed flag badge central hub, 5 chromed bolts, and are wrapped with like new rubber. Interior The black theme continues with the nicely padded and stitched in red charcoal black door panels. Slipping inside a new covered in black vinyl bench welcomes us and two other passengers if needed. The original black dash with shiny showroom like bezeled gauges is in front of the original style steering wheel which has a tachometer mounted on its column. All the other essentials are mounted within this dash front, and just below a trio of extra aftermarket gauges for more monitoring of the essentials. Black carpeting for the floors and above a black painted steel headliner with a rear sliding window. Drivetrain Under the hood is simply put: "eye candy" in the form of a consigner stated 383ci V8 stroker. This mill sports aluminum heads, and Edelbrock intake and a Holley 4-barrel carburetor. A TH400 3-speed automatic transmission is on back along with a 10-bolt, 3.73 posi-rear axle. Also seen are shiny headers and totally polished bolt ons abounding throughout. Smoke 'em if you got 'em! Undercarriage Not to be outdone by the topside, the undercarriage appears to have never seen bad weather, and is also fully restored. Straight rust free steel featuring tubular A arms which have been added on additionally. For the front, independent coil springs are on and the rear has leaf springs with traction bars. Power disc brakes are on front, and power drums for the rear. A shiny Flowmaster exhaust with chromed dual tips is also seen. Drive-Ability Firing this truck up, you will be met with a surprising roar as it is stated by the consigner it will put out 345hp on high test gas. It certainly accelerates smoothly and quickly, stops on a dime and cruises very nicely to boot. All functions were working just perfectly. A fine overall restoration job and showing near showroom for the exterior and interior. The new engine is all blinged out, and the engine bay is simply...well fabulous! I could use my pickup line right now, but I digress, and will just say a classic truck will not get any better in our hallowed halls than this baby. Ready to haul anything, even some serious ass!
