The car is in mint condition with really no scratches or issues. The car was originally purchased on 2-21-1969 for $2,877 from Ramsey Chevrolet in Oklahoma. The car remained with this family until 2006 when it was purchased by a collector from the estate of the owner’s wife. The car then underwent a 2 year frame off restoration. I have many pictures from the restoration attached. I car sat in a private collection until 2013 when I purchased the car. The car only had 52 miles on it over 5 years. Currently there are 3,995 miles on it. I put all new glass on the car in 2014 and also put power steering in it. I have the manual steering box that will go with the car if you truly want the original specs. The car came with the original AM/FM radio which I still have, but I put in a vintage looking, but new, stereo. This car is a head turner… I’ve named her Sleeping Beauty given she is a true sleeper! It often wins in most car shows, especially the ones were voters have an appreciation for the car’s heritage and current build. She often wins “best of show” status. This car has not been driven in the rain since its restoration and the body was in very good shape before the restoration. I have all of the registrations for the car over the years and most of the receipts for the rebuild. ZL1’s have a very amazing history…only 69 original ZL1’s were ever built. They had a 427 cubic inch aluminum engine and were a special order under Chevy’s COPO (Central Office Production Order) process. A funny story is 50 of the first 52 all went to one dealership and all but 13 were returned because the ~$7,200 price tag was too expensive. An original ZL1 can now sell for excess of $500K. All original ZL1’s are very well documented and this car is modeled after car #68 of 69. This car has the following specs:•Colors are original Cortez Silver with black interior•427 Anniversary Edition Aluminum block 500 hp motor. In 2008, Chevy continued the legend of the aluminum 427 motor by producing a limited edition of 427 engines to the exact specifications as engines in 1969. The motor is number 60 out of 427 and has a plaque to evidence that. These motors alone today are worth around $30,000•4 speed M22 “rock crusher” manual transmission •4:10 posse-traction rear end I’m attaching many pictures but please reach out with any questions you may have… The car is being sold as is with no returns accepted. I’ve done by best to describe the car and its features but make no warranty as to the description or originality. I have plenty of paperwork Its located in Southbury CT if you would like to take a look at it. Happy bidding on this one of a kind 1969 COPO Camaro. I have my second child heading to college next year and need to part with this. Its truly part of our family and we love it so looking for it to go to a good home…I've got plenty of pictures of the restoration and of the car if you'd like to see more...
