Description of 1965 Chevrolet Chevelle 300, Black/Black, Sale or Trade |
All vehicle trades considered, including classics and performance. I can assist with financing and transport as needed. This 1965 Chevelle 300 is one of the most practical of classic cars. It has seen lots of recent work and looks fantastic, especially in black. It is reasonably sized with a comfortable interior and nice sized trunk, but it will still fit in most any garage. It has a well-proven drivetrain along with power steering and power front disc brakes. And it is a complete, turn-key car ready for its next owner. This example is a 2-door post model, lending more structure to the body and helping prevent twisting and stress cracks. It also helps maintain window seals and door gaps. This example has received new floor sections and sheetmetal along with a color change from green to black. The paint is nice and shiny; note the clear reflections in the pictures. The windows were tinted as well. The car also has a set of 15” Rally wheels with new tires. The original 6-cylinder engine has been replaced with a 350 cubic inch small block with a variety of established parts including an Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold and Accel electronic ignition. It also has headers feeding a dual exhaust with a very nice sound. There is a new aluminum radiator too. The transmission is a TH350 automatic which feeds a 10-bolt rear end on a 4-link suspension. The front suspension was replaced along with the new power steering and power front disc brakes. The interior was also redone, changing colors from tan to black. The seats, door panels, carpet, and headliner are all in excellent condition. Upgrades include a set of three underdash gauges, a wooden steering wheel, and a modern digital AM/FM stereo. Everything works properly including the lighting, turn signals, horn, heater/defroster, and parking brake. All gauges work properly as do the wipers, backup lights, and neutral safety switch. Be sure to look at these things when you’re shopping around! Whether you are looking for a reasonable daily driver or just a fun weekend car, this Chevelle has a lot to offer. It looks and sounds great, is fun to drive, and is easy to maintain - just what you’d want from a classic car. |
