Description of 1947 Chevrolet Other

1947 Chevrolet Fleetmaster Tudor Sedan This 1947 Chevrolet Fleetmaster Tudor Sedan is a blank canvas for your next streetrod/ratrod project or complete enough for a total restoration. It is my intent to represent this vehicle as completely as I can in the description that follows. but I encourage you to look thoroughly at the pictures and contact me via the eBay message board with any questions you may have. ENGINE/TRANSMISSION/DRIVE-TRAIN: This car has its original six-cylinder engine and is complete under the hood. The engine runs and is in working order. The three-speed on the column transmission is also in working order as it drives forward and reverse and shifts through the gears. The clutch is in need of attention. Please make no mistake. even though this car runs and drives. it is sufficient for loading and unloading it from a transporter's trailer. This car IS NOT in a condition to be driven across town. let alone across country. The torque tube and rearend are also original and in working order without signs of major issue. The original wheels are on the car. but missing the hubcaps and a couple beauty rings. BODY/SHEET METAL/TRIM/GLASS: On the whole. the sheet metal on this car is very solid with a few areas that need attention. It is important to note - although Montana is a winter state. we have a very dry climate and do not use salt on our winter roadways. This translates into very little body rust and a very solid undercarriage and frame. There is a small portion of rust through on the driver's rear fender and on the trunk lid. These areas are very repairable. Inside the trunk. the spare tire well and a small portion of the floor are in need of repair. Replacement sheet metal is available for these areas. making repair rather straight forward. The passenger side door is the area most in need of repair. The lower portion of the door is completely gone. but there are patch panels available for both the bottom inside and lower outside portions of the door - I've found them even on eBay for about $180. Bottom line is. this door is repairable. The rest of the door is in good shape and the rust did not find its way into the rockers or floor. Fenders. quarters. and floors are in good condition. although the front floor pans need minor repair. The grille is complete with only minor dents/dings. Headlights. buckets and trim rings are there. Marker/turn signal lights are there. although one lens is broken. Taillights are also there. This car is even complete with all the original trim. Window trim. side trim. rocker trim. etc. is all there. The trunk handle is broken. The glass in this car is all broken out. Fortunately. the 2pc windshield. door glass. and quarter glass is all flat and can be cut at your local glass shop. The rear window is the only piece of curved glass. I have also found this rear glass for sale on eBay for about $150. INTERIOR: The interior of this '47 Chevy is complete. but in need of total restoration. The dash is complete and guages are intact. The seats - front and rear. backs and bottoms - are included with the car. but I removed them so I could show the condition of the floors. The doorpanels are there and good enough for patterns. The ash trays are even still in the rear seat armrests! As I mentioned earlier. I have tried to represent this vehicle as completely as I could. but please look at the pictures and contact me via the eBay message board with any questions you have. This vehicle is being sold in "as-is/where-is" condition; no waranty or guarantee - written or implied - exists with this vehicle. This vehicle has NO TITLE. but a NOTARIZED BILL OF SALE ON MT DMV FORM will be issued with the car. Transportation of the vehicle is the sole responsibility of the buyer. Payment in full must be received before the vehicle will be released for transportation. Although I am sympathetic to the cost of transportation. I WILL NOT entertain a low-ball offer because of the cost of transportation.
