Description of 1967 Chevrolet C-10 Custom |
I bought this truck to turn it into an LS1 Vortech supercharged pro touring. custom frame-off masterpiece…but I just can’t do it. The truck was originally from here in Knoxville and it still has the original Beaty Chevrolet sticker and bumper stamp (see pictures). Everything on the truck is immaculate. I have only driven it a few hundred miles in the last 1 1/2 years and it highway drives at 75 mph like a brand new car. If you want to fly in and drive it home. I think you could. (of course. no guarantees. I have not put more than 400 miles on it and it hasn't left my garage in over a year). Cab corners - awesome Floor boards - like new Glove box cardboard - great Cab mounts - wow. except for the dirt dauber nests J Kick panels - no rust Firewall - rust free Roof ridge - has surface rust but nothing significant see pics (not even surface rust inside where visors are. just original blue paint) Passenger door sill - quarter size rust hole (from leaking wing window I think) see pics Inside the rain gutter - NO RUST Hood. door bottoms. bed supports. everything is solid Everywhere that you normally find rust is as solid as the day it rolled off the showroom floor on June 19. 1967…Yes even the battery box. Even has the original radio. but it doesn't work. Six cylinder. 3 on the tree. no power anything. in fact there are only 6 fuses in the whole fuse box…OL’ school rocks. but it is cold natured (takes it a minute to warm up). Good: Solid…doors. hood and tailgate open perfectly. Only thing new on the whole truck is the 17” wheels and tires. Shifts and runs as it did in 1967. lights and blinkers work and manual choke starts 1st try every time. I also received the original paperwork and documents with every maintenance performed through the mid 80s. including the original 1967 title. dealer book and tag/stamp. Bad: antenna is broken. pass door wing window is loose. bolt to hold the air cleaner to the carb is broken. I think the heater core needs to be replaced. and I believe the shocks are vintage 1967. Last time I drove it. (120 miles round trip) I had my son's 650 pound 1700 cc Yamaha Warrior road bike in the back. couldn't even tell it was there. Re-listing note: Yes it did sell. on last listing. and the buyer and I tried very hard to complete the deal. We had great communication. but the buyer was Canadian and the trip across the border was too difficult and he did not account for the cost of shipping. For this reason. I am selling only to continental US. I started buying the parts for the transformation to a supercharged LS1…. but. as I said the truck is in too good a shape for me to start cutting it up…. better shape than any truck I have ever seen. I have sold the supercharger. but I still have the LS1. That means I have a few extras I would also like to sell that ARE NOT part of this sale ($3200). I have a complete all aluminum LS1 with 84k miles from a 1998 Camaro including computer. harness. pulleys. A/C. power steering etc. a 4L60E automatic transmission a gas tank and fuel pump AGAIN. NOT INCLUDED. but I might be convinced to sell them separately. Chris 865. 406. 9232 |
