Description of 1986 Chevrolet C-10 |
This is a gorgeous daily driver in excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition. Always garage kept. No rust up top or underneath. no body filler or bondo of any kind. The engine was completely overhauled just before I bought it by the previous owner who was a Cummins Diesel mechanic at their plant in Portland. Oregon. I had it professionally lowered 3 1/2 inches and replaced the U-joints at the same time. When you look at the pictures. the first two show the truck lowered. and the rest were taken just before I had that done. In the past several years I have put fewer than 15K miles on her. She is my 3rd vehicle (4th if you count the motor home) and was driven mostly for the pleasure of it. And there is a lot of pleasure in it. She starts up on the turn of the key. runs straight and true down the road and looks great while doing it. Burns zero oil. Small block 305 is economical but gives plenty of power. Today I had her professionally detailed and she is shining. The paint. while not showroom. is in excellent condition throughout. Besides the bed which looks like the bed of a daily driver. the paint has a few touchup spots. and one small spot on the tailgate that has flaked off in the "Chevrolet" letters. The rest is in good shape and solid. This truck turns heads and gets envy comments all the time. If I didn't have to put my RV toad in the garage I would not be selling this truck. I am also not interested in selling this truck below my opening bid of $8. 00. I'd rather keep it in the garage and store my RV toad. NOTE: the Reserve is $8501. I couldn't figure out how to list it with no reserve. so I added a buck. Happy bidding!Addendum: Depending on where you live. I am retired and delivery of the truck is possible as long as my travel expenses are covered. That would be negotiable after the sale and not be made a condition of the sale. Ultimately. the buyer is responsible for getting the truck from Tigard. Or (Portland) and his or her destination. |
