Description of 1964 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu SS

It's not just that this 1964 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu SS has a terrific all-black muscle car hardtop appearance. As you dig deeper, you'll see the right investments in the interior and serious big block power. It really makes this coupe feel like it has earned it Super Sport name.
The black paint looks striking. It's a modern clearcoat application, and so while the car is as dark as midnight, it also loves to radiate in the noon sunshine. As a real-deal Super Sport, the color also give this car its aggressive feel. And because this one has the cleaner lines of the SS, the good gloss really lets you see the great creases of the iconic sheetmetal. The reason these have remained so popular is because they represent the best of the era. It's a clean design free from the clutter. So instead of tailfins, these had a sleek profile that accented its sportiness of the Coke bottle-inspired gentle fender curves. Plus, the chrome bumpers, grille, trim, and badging all have fresh look of investment. We also like the upgrade to larger 18-inch Cragar-style five-spoke chrome alloys. After all, they add to the car's shine, and the lowered stance gives this a muscular look you want on an SS.
The darkness theme continues inside, and so does the feeling of a solid investment. The carpeting, door panels, headliner, and dash all have a stock look but a much fresh feel. And we love the well-done upholstery with front bucket seats featuring headrests. This is a driver-oriented setup with upgrades like a grippy sports steering wheel, SunPro auxiliary gauges, and a B&M floor shifter. There's an upgraded retro-style AM/FM digital tuner with an iPod hookup to give you modern driving music. But really, we all know the best soundtrack comes from when you roll down all the windows on this pillarless hardtop and hear the rumble.
We love big block power in a true SS, and this one loves to put it on display. So radiating within the dark engine bay is plenty of polish from the valve covers, alternator, water pump, air topper, and more in this ultra-tidy setup. And if you dig deeper beyond the shine, you find investments in big power components such as a Holley 780 CFM dual-feed four-barrel carburetor, an Edelbrock Performer 2.0 aluminum intake, and Headman headers. It fires up eagerly with a nice tune out of the Flowmaster dual exhaust. And since this was meant to be driven, you'll find good all-around features like the three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, and modern performance tires. A previous listing tells us that this was a full build with $25k invested - including enhanced engine internals and fresher suspension pieces (call for the full component details.) And the ways this one feels powerful, solid, and overall confident makes us believe it was all true.
This is a great Super Sport with vintage style and the right muscle car level investments. It's a total package you need to get your hand on right now. Call today!!!
