Description of 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 Post |
GR Auto Gallery is excited to bring to market this masterfully executed 1955 Chevrolet 210 Post Coupe. This 55 has been customized and crafted by the skillful hands of nationally recognized, Butch Payne of Finely Finished Productions, Sparta, MI. At the core of this build is a well-preserved, two owner example that is stated to have 47000 original miles. The body is finished in dark grey metallic exterior paint, flat black hook with original grille, rear bumper and exterior trim. The red interior was restored to a mostly stock look and features front bench seat, Hurst shifter, original radio, original speedometer, auxiliary gauges, all new interior upholstery etc. More Power Performance Engines professionally prepared the 348 short block with 409 style heads and intake, fed by dual Edlebrock 1403 500 CFM carbs. Other mechanical highlights include: Edelbrock 409 aluminum heads, Edelbock 409 aluminum valve covers, Crane Cam, Edelbrock aluminum intake, etc. All working together to post 529HP at 4200 RPM on the dyno sheet. Other mechanical highlights include: Ford 9 inch rear end, Coil over suspension, rebuilt Muncie M-21 4-speed transmission, Flaming River rack and pinion steering, balanced driver shaft, Centerline custom aluminum wheels, Micky Thompson tires, straight exhaust etc. The performance of this 1955 Chevy 210 is amazing. It roars through all the gears giving awesome straight-line performance, the power rack and pinion steering alone with suspension and brakes all work together to provide confident drivability. The purchaser will have the opportunity to address some small finishing items including: installing the dome light assembly, attach rear arm rest, installing rear window mechanism, horn button. What a great way to get to know your investment. Tri-Five Chevy's continue to be a staple in the collector car market. The 55 here is an extremely thoughtful, vintage style build. What sets this apart is anyone could have dropped a crate 502 under the hood. The dual quad 409 appearance gives this 55 the edge above the rest. Dynos sheets and engine build specs included along with original owners manual, original owner information, record of ownership transfer and a few other goodies. |
