Description of 1969 Chevrolet Impala |
This 1969 Chevrolet Impala has the look of a great classic family sedan. And that's exactly the story this one has. It's a one-family owned vehicle that has been cherished for three generations. So when you get true classic with a terrific vintage style, numbers-matching V8 power, and well integrated upgrades - all for a value price - then you know it's time to pay attention. This Impala shows off the best of the era. It wanted to be the longest and widest cruiser to dominate the boulevard. You see that personality in the front end where the bumper surrounds the face so that it can emphasize the edges and extend the front with a muscle car-like overhang. Details like the full-length trim and stylish rear bumper with three-taillight element artfully integrated give this the look of a proper premium Impala. The maroon paint is an update later in life. It has a classic style, and the gloss really highlights the good lines of the car. This one has been treated with respect for over half a century because it has been a southern car that stayed with the same family all its life. The granddaughter of the first owner is offering it to the public for the first time, and there's even nice paperwork, like the factory buildsheet, to document this Impala. The interior is the right mix of vintage style and the right features. The two rows of bench seats have an especially clean look, and they have the extra wide room for everyone to get comfortable in this cruiser. There are the right premium Impala details, including the wood-like trim and the stylish trim in the seatbacks. You'll also like the classic look of the dash that continues to have the Delco AM radio there for display, and this even still has the factory A/C controls (it will likely need servicing before blowing ideally cold again.) An especially nice touch is the custom center console. It allows for more features without taking away from vintage dash. This includes upgrades like the AutoMeter Phantom auxiliary gauges, cup holders, and an AM/FM/CD stereo w/aux input. It makes for some great modern upgrades to keep this a great cruiser for modern times. Under the hood is the numbers-matching 350 cubic-inch V8. We're told this one was given a rebuild later in life, and the crisp and clean presentation today really shows this has been treated with care. Plus, it fires up with the kind of ease that tells you this is a well-respected car. The four-barrel carburetor lets it inhale deeply, and the dual exhaust has a dignified V8 tone. This Impala has a smooth ride you want from a cruiser like this. And it comes with factory features like power steering, power brakes, front discs, and a three-speed automatic transmission. There are even nice upgrades, like a rear sway bar and wide modern Tiger Paw tires. The sale comes complete with the factory buildsheet, owner's manual, and reproduction window sticker. It all makes for an awesome cruiser that also has a story to tell. Call now! |
