Description of 1968 Chevrolet Other Pickups |
1968 Chevrolet K10 4WD Long Wheelbase Truck is located in Churchville, VA, zip code 24421. Local pickup only; I cannot ship. I had hoped to restore this truck completely but have had our circumstances change and she needs to go. I’ve had this truck for a couple years now and I absolutely love it. Gets attention everywhere I go and is a lot of fun to drive. Still needs some love but it is a solid, good running classic. Most of the work listed was done before I got it. Here’s some details: -1968 Chevy k10 long wheelbase -283 small block v8 that sounds great and runs strong -edelbrock aluminum intake and holley 600 cfm carb -sm465 4spd manual transmission -np201 transfer -mid 70’s front axle w/ power brakes -power steering -new steering column bearings -dual electric fans -approx 4” lift -somewhat rare dealership option heavy futy rear bumper -hei ignition and nearly new msd cap and rotor -headers with new gaskets installed by previous owner -lots of body work done. Floor pans and front fenders. Cab corners and rockers done previously -4wd works, takes a little messing with to get it in and out. -Nearly brand new 33” x 12.50” bfgoodrich A/T tires. - frame looks great with no rust Now, here’s what I know it needs. -oil leak (what old truck doesn’t have that), mechanic thinks it’s at the sending unit. -interior is pretty much bare. No door panels. Seat needs to be redone (an extra bench seat comes with it). -Bed has some rust and a few holes in it and there’s rust in the wheel arches. -There is draw on the battery somewhere. I added a switch to terminate power from the battery. Basically a kill switch in the positive cable. Works great, doesn’t allow the battery to run down. -Heater doesn’t work great -door seals need to be replaced Unsure of exact miles as the instrument cluster has been changed; EBay requires mileage to be listed so I put 100,000. I have a bunch of extra parts that go with it. It basically needs some TLC. It came with a rattle can paint job and I’ve never done anything about it. This could be an amazing truck with what doesn’t feel like a lot of work. I think she’s a gem, but I’m biased. Numbers are all over the place on the value sites but I think I’m asking a fair price. Clear va title in my name. |
