Description of 1954 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 Burgundy Highlights |
I offer investment, one-of-a-kind, classic, vintage, and hard-to-find vehicles at reasonable prices. Here is a 1954 Chevrolet 210 two-door sedan with a beautiful deep black burnished finish with grabber burgundy highlights – guaranteed to get everyone’s attention. It has a ‘look’ – beautiful, yet tough and ready! It was built to get in, drive, and draw lots of comments. It is definitely a crowd-pleaser. The stance is perfect with three-inch lowering blocks rear and drop spindles front. ► 1954 Chevy street rod Video will open in a new window ENGINE Call it a hot rod, rat rod, or cruiser. Under the hood is a well-fitted 350 with headers and a pleasant-sounding dual exhaust. The 700R4 transmission shifts quickly and easily – the perfect match for this car. The car is light on its feet and gets up to speed rapidly. It is most comfortable at a cruising speed between 70 and 80mph. Around town, it goes through the gears effortlessly. It has been rewired with a universal Painless blade system. The gas tank is new and front disc brakes added. There is a switch-operated overdrive, great for long cruises. Switch it on and off at about 35 mph. It is ready to perform in all categories…drive, show, cruise.
EXTERIOR The exterior photos look great and in real life, just as nice or better. The car is a magnet – drawing tons of comments and thumbs up. It looks lower than its three-inch drop. The deep accented finish and body side chrome give it that appearance. The hood, trunk, and doors fit nicely. The two side windows are cracked. It adds to the look and I see no reason to replace them. It seems to add to the draw but if you prefer, there are factory replacements in the trunk. The front license plate is original to the car. The red-painted wheels are original along with beauty rings and bow tie caps, all adding to the look. ► June 16, 2022 Video will open in a new window INTERIOR The interior is a bit hot rod, rat rod, and yet clean and attractive. The numerous gauges on the dash make interesting conversation. There is a heater fan switch, gauge switch, engine fan switch, two ignition switches, starter button, and overdrive switch. The gauges include the tachometer with controls, water, oil pressure, and amp. The front seat is comfortable and adds class to the car.
There are bow ties sewn into the top of the headrests. The seat folds forward for an easy rear entrance. The carpet is new. The door panels were made and added a rod charm. This is a ten-day listing. The final bidder will win the car. I have an open title in hand. The surging interest in 1953 and 1954 Chevys started just a short time ago. It moved quickly and powerfully. The 210 might not be as ‘pretty’ as the Belaire, yet that is why it better fits the world of power and speed. It is not the one most sought after. This car is a sound inventment.
