Description of 1953 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210

1953 Chevrolet 2 door sedan with stock 235 - 6 cylinder engine and 3 speed original transmission.
I have owned this car for a year and have worked on it in my spare time. I sanded half of the car down to bare metal because I wanted to start with a nice clean body. I am 80 years old and I came to realize that i could not keep up the pace needed to strip the car by myself. For that reason I am going to let someone younger than me finish it. I have replaced the hoses and the fan belt, installed a new distributor plugs and plug wires, water pump, factory rebuilt carburetor, new set of red gauges and a new set of white gauges and all new sensors for both gauge sets. The tires are nearly new 14 inch with a nice set of smoothie chrome wheels. All factory chrome and stainless is on the car but some pieces need clips to hold them. I also bought a new set of lakes pipes and new pair of front fender hockey stick mouldings. There is also a new set of chrome sill mouldings still in original box. The front grill guard bar is taped on to show you that it is there. It is an NOS never installed bar. It is just sitting there and will need to be installed correctly. I have all the lights rewired and working. Horns will blow your head off they are really loud. Skirts are real original metal not reproduction. Car does run but when I installed the new distributor I forgot to order the new $35 vacuum advance assembly which also holds distributor to the block. I am just too old and have lost all interest so i will not spend time or money on the car. let someone else finish it up. It goes into all gears and will drive into a trailer but I never got to any of the brake system. The emergency brake is working fine so you can stop the car. The steering box has excess play. The door glass and windshield glass need replacing they have cracks. The back glass is good. I have seen glass on ebay complete sets for $225 to $300 tinted. It does have minor rust, drivers floor has 4x20 hole and some minor rust in a few spots. I put a 22 gauge piece of sheet metal on the drivers side floor with screws. A new driver side floor patch panel is $110. Its a good car to start with and restore or customize.
I have a clean State of Oregon Title and a bill of sale.

The cheapest 53 that i have seen on Ebay is around $8000 and that is for a rusty 4 door junker. Mine has plenty of new parts and once the distributor is installed correctly with vacuum advance it will run great. My opening bid with no reserve is $5000. I have a lot more into it but no longer love it. High bidder owns it, thanks for looking.
The Jessie James remote control low rider car goes with it, I do not have the remote. I have an owners manual and some extra chrome and all the stuff pictured in the trunk.
Complete 1953 1954 stock oem power steering set up will be listed separately in a few days from now.

If you have zero or low bid history on Ebay your bid will be cancelled if you do not contact me before placing a bid.
