This 2 owner 37k mile 1968 Corvette Convertible with it’s original matching number 427/390HP engine, M20 4-speed transmission and 3:08 positraction rear end finished in Silvertone Silver with Black Vinyl interior and white convertible top was ordered in October 1967 and delivered to its original owner December 20, 1967. Purchased by the seller on June 27, 1977 is now offered with its tank sticker, Protect-O-Plate, owner’s manual, service records.Trim tag Body Build Code D27 (Nov. 27, 1967) Trim: STD. 986 Paint. About 20-25 years ago there was a repaint in Acrylic Lacquer, there are 2 small cracks on the left front fender by the hood support. All chrome is in excellent condition. White convertible top is a replacement when the repaint was done. Also has A01 Tinted Glass windshield has a tinted PPG replacement, with original side glass, the drivers glass LOF Flo-Lite ‘AZ’ (Sept 1967) has small damage area on the top of the glass. Passenger LOF Flo-Lite ‘YZ’ (Oct. 1967)Interior is Black vinyl (STD.) the steering wheel is a later smaller Corvette wheel (the original 3-spoke plastic wood grain is included) also the radio is an after-market unit (the original AM/FM stereo is also included). Interior also has N36 Telescopic Steering Column and A82 Head Restraints.The original L36 427/390HP casting number 3916321 (casting date isn’t visible since it’s behind the right side exhaust manifold). Right hand engine pad has engine build stamp T1101IL (Nov. 1, 1967) and serial stamp 18S405403. The original M20 wide ratio transmission has serial stamp 18S405403 and build stamp P8S15 (Nov. 15, 1967). The original positraction rear end has ‘AT’ stamp for 3:08 ratio. The engine has K66 Transistor Ignition. The Quadrajet carburetor is a rebuilt replacement with no code stampings. Also has N40 Power Steering and J50 Power Brakes.
