Description of 1972 Chevrolet El Camino

Vehicle Details

1972 Chevrolet El Camino special order custom two tone paint White/Orange non-SS Matching number 402 big block car. Original 402 big block engine, Orignal th400 transmission, and original 12 bolt rear end still in the car. Engine was disassembled to what you see because of wiped cam lobe and never repaired. All the original parts except for the carb are included. This is an A/C car with power steering. The body in in good shape for an el Camino this age but will need the usual, lower outside quarter work, inside quarters in good shape. Front driver side floor pan needs a little attention and passenger side is good. All rear floorplans will need to be replace, this is pretty common on an El Camino. Rocker panels look good on both sides except for a small hole just started on the driver side right before the rear wheel. Frame is in excellent condition and all body mounts are good. Does have some rust in the bed floor towards the rear. Tailgate has rust on the bottom. around the front windshield looks really good and the Vin number doesn’t even have any rust on it. Around the back glass. There has been a little around. The lower corners but no holes. This is a great candidate for a matching number Big block 402 car to restore. It does look like over the years. It has been painted again however, there are no different colors underneath of where it’s chipped away so I believe it to be original paint even though the trim tag on the cowl is missing and was stolen years ago.
