Description of 1991 Chevrolet Suburban

Overview:
This is a clean 1991 Chevrolet Suburban. This truck has been a part of my family for over 10 years. It has served us very well and is a very capable vehicle that gets positive attention anywhere it goes. This truck is in my name and has a clean title. Unfortunately, health issues force the sale of this awesome square body Suburban. I hope it can find a home where it will be appreciated as it has by all prior owners. This Suburban has a clean title, is currently registered, and just passed California SMOG. It is ready to be transferred into the new owner's name.
Details:
Body:
The body on this truck is very clean overall. The paint is likely 20 years old. It is solid and straight with no major dents, rust through, etc. All panels look to be original to the truck. The hood and both doors open and close smoothly and positively with nice gaps. The clear coat on the horizontal panels has given way to the UV rays as shown. Since the truck is high, the horizontal panels do not show as they would on a truck that is lower. The side/vertical panels still have great shine and reflection as shown. This truck has a very nice body that could easily be taken to the next level if you choose to do so.
Interior:
The interior is quite original with the factory installed front bucket seats and console with dual bench seats in the rear. The cloth interior is in good condition and would look even nicer with some cleaning. The original headliner is a drooping which is commonplace for this era Suburban and can be fixed by most capable individuals at little to no cost. All glass looks to be factory and is good condition with nice tinting on the side windows.
Engine:
The engine is a 350 Small Block Chevy also known as a 5.7 Liter V8. It has TBI fuel injection from the factory and runs well. It starts up at the turn of the key and idles smoothly. The engine makes good power for the era and sounds great. There are no strange noises and it passed California SMOG as mentioned above which speaks volumes. Its hard to beat a tried and true Small Block Chevy.
Transmission:
The transmission is a 4 speed overdrive automatic known as the 700R4. It was rebuilt by Bowman transmission and works well. It shifts into reverse and drive smoothly. All forward shifts are positive with no slipping or strange noises. The transmission functions just as it should. The 4WD transfer cae is a New Process NP241 and functions just as it should.
Suspension:
This truck has a 6 inch lift with many polyurethane bushings which give the truck an amazing look and equally great ride. This high stance definitely make you feel like the king/queen of the road. This is a very fun truck to drive.
Axles:
The front and rear axles on this truck have been upgraded to 3/4 ton units with 8 lug wheels. The rearend is a desirable full floating 14 bolt. This is sought after for strength and durability in off road situations. The front axle has aftermarket Warn locking hubs for easy on/off trail use. These parts are heavy duty and great for off road situations. That said, they do not effect daily use so these are desirable upgrades with no downsides.
Underhood:
The engine compartment is very original and clean overall. The only component I see missing is the air conditioning compressor which was deleted for ease of function. All other A/C components are intact so it could be replaced if you want the A/C to function.
Brakes:
The brakes are the factory front disc and rear drum units that have been well maintained. They stop this truck quickly, safely, and straight.
Undercarriage:
The undercarriage is very clean. I don't see any significant rot or damage and there are even some decals still on upgraded components which show how well this truck has been treated. With some careful cleaning, the undercarriage will look even more awesome.
Overall:
This 1991 Chevy Suburban would be an excellent choice for someone who wants a unique vehicle for weekend honey dos, cruises, or outdoor adventures. It would also be a great truck to promote a business since it will certainly get attention and be remembered. I wish I could spend more time playing with this toy but given the circumstances I need to focus on my health. I welcome you to come take a look at it in person. I'm confident you will be impressed.
