1953 Chevrolet Truck 3100 LS Swap S10 Frame Swap 1950's Pickup Chevy

1953 Chevy Truck. This resto-mod is placed on a 1996 S-10 Chassis which has power steering along with disc brakes in the front and drum in the rear. Some of the bushings on the front end are new.

The 5.3 LS engine is very healthy and runs strong. It is out of a 2004 Chevy Silverado truck with the matching 4L60 automatic transmission with approximately around 150,000 miles on them both. The transmission shifts great. It has 3.42 rear gears (it gets decent gas mileage). The truck is running and driving great with a newer fuel system along with a new painless engine wire harness, new water pump, a new aluminum radiator, and a new electric cooling fan. The truck has new headers with a new and nice sounding exhaust. It has a fresh tune up with new plugs, wires, and an oil change.

The majority of the interior is new with new Dolphin gauges (all gauges work), new chrome steering column with tilt and a new woodgrain steering wheel. The dash has many new elements including a new chrome dash grill and glove compartment. Some glass is new while some is original. No heater and no AC.

The rough matte black exterior gives the truck a classic look while also having a custom feel with the newer upgrades. The exterior mirrors are new but all other exterior chrome is original. It has new custom LED headlights and new custom LED taillights. Lights, signals, and brake lights work. The truck has 20 inch aftermarket wheels and the tires have some life left in them.

It has a little rust on the bed fenders on the bottom, everything else is in good shape. Bed has a crack where the spare tire holder used to be. It could easily be welded back.

I have not hooked up the original wiper motor, but it is still intact. Horn is not working.The driver wing window latch is missing.Truck has scratches and dents in it.Keep in mind that it is a 70 year old truck, so it does have some dents and issues here or there but is fun to drive and gets a lot of attention.
