Description of 1968 Chevrolet Nova |
NO RESERVE $1 STARTING BID Last high bidder wins. Up for auction is my personal 1968 Nova. This is a true 1968 SS Big block car. The SS is stamped on the title. Also as most big blocks came. this one comes with factory tinted glass. Heavy duty rear suspension. Also on the heater housing the hoses are on the left as in all the factory big block cars. The interior looks great. The radio doesn't work and was installed just to fill the opening. My Nova was involved in an accident and we had to replace the front clip and sub frame and do a complete repaint. I put one before picture in so you could see it before we painted it. The quarters were replaced at some time. The car when painted unfortunately was done in my opinion as driver quality. It should of been blocked better and in the one picture that we show before it was painted you can see where the small dent was repaired. Also couple small chips from rocks in paint and on the passenger side door there is a chip on edge of door from where it was opened to far and touched. Also right fender has about a 1 inch spot that water hit when being painted and you can tell. To be a show car at some point you might want to repaint it as it is an amateur paint job. It looks great and gets tons of thumbs up but when you get close you can pick it apart some. Maybe I'm too picky but black shows all and I want full disclosure. The engine was rebuilt less than 3000 miles ago. It runs very strong. With the 4 speed and the 4. 11 limited slip rear end you it's more of an in town car than a highway car. When on the highway at 55-60 the motor is reving pretty good. The Muncie 4 speed casting number is 3925660 and is year correct. Also 12 bolt with factory 4. 11 gears casting number is 3969341NF. We just installed a new Msd Distributer system. At 55 it does shake and vibrate a little. I think the tires need balanced or replaced. I mainly drive in town so I never worried about it. All headlight. horn. turn signals. brake lights and all other electrical is in great working order. Heat works good. I have over $11000 in receipts alone for everything I did to the car not including purchase of the Nova. All new grill and headlight surrounds and trim. Cowl hood. hood molding and Chevy II trim OEM 396 valve covers. air cleaner. New high torque starter. Flywheel. Outer fenders. inner fenders and so much more. If a picture speaks 1000 words you have 24000 words to look at. Feel free to bid with confidence as this is a great 68 SS with only 81043 original miles. Please try to pickup within 7 days If shipping and car is paid for I don't care if it sits here a month. A $500 Paypal deposit is due within 24 hours of auction end. Sold ASIS because of its age. Any questions feel free to call 330-284-7585 I will not end Auction early for any amount. I like to gamble so $1 starts it. Last bidder at $10 or $30. 00 wins it. Doesn't matter. Other than $15 dollar title fee and/or you local county tax's if you live in Ohio That's it. NO DOC FEES!!! So If you win you owe me sale price - paypal deposit + $15 title fees Due to the accident the title is listed as a rebuilt salvage title as we had to go get it inspected at the state troopers. Car can be viewed 9-5 Monday through Friday. or Saturday 9-2 at 512 N. Union. Ave Alliance Ohio 44601 Also with questions pleas call me at 330-284-7585 7 am to 7 pm I've had a lot of people ask me about my motor. On a one and a half hour drive it never gets warm. It's the factory heads. It has a mild cam put in it. New pistons when it was rebuilt. And the motor is a 454 out of a 1977 or 78 pickup truck I forget. |
