Description of 1969 Chevrolet Camaro |
You are biding on a very nice 1969 Camaro Z/28 Beautifully Painted in its original Lemans Blue with White Stripes This is an original X77 Z/28 that was factory optioned in Lemans Blue, White Stripes, Black Standard Interior, Rear Antenna, Console & Gauges, Tinted Glass, AM Radio, Rosewood Wheel & Chambered Exhaust. These options are documented on the original Sales Invoice from Hoehn Chevrolet in Memphis Tenn. as reported by the NCRS Report that will all go with the car. The cars body work & Paint have been Beautifully executed by top professionals in the business. The car comes with the original DZ block that has been machined and checked for cracks (none found) with the reconditioned crank, #1 rod & new piston, & NOS orig. GM Z/28 Cam installed to set the correct cam timing. The crank, orig. pink rods are original to the car. Take note that the block has no VIN stamped anywhere which is the way it came form the factory. Late March car would have had the vin stamped at the oil filter, but there is no stamp present. I have heard of other cars that did not get stamped from the Norwood Plant. This block came from the original owner of the car and was removed from the car in 1982. So, I firmly believe it to be the original block as all the other castings and dates match the build date and specs of the car. As noted on the original sales invoice, the car came from the factory with no spoilers (because of rear antenna) and a flat hood. The dealer installed the cowl hood and spoilers when they received the car then sold it with those options added. This is a RARE opportunity to take advantage of a NICE project car that doesn't have a tree growing through it, or that is falling apart as you move from the rust. Most of the sheet metal is original to car including the doors, front fenders, top, front valance, taillight panel, rockers, front & rear inner and outer fender wells, bulkhead and truck floor. The ONLY sheet metal replaced were the lower footwells that were spliced in, the trunk lid which was stolen, and the quarter skins, which when replaced, retained the original door jambs, trunk jambs, and orig. quarter welds and led seems. 95% of all the parts for the car have been restored perfectly and are all date coded to the car which was built in March of 1969 as shown in the comprehensive list below. In addition to the date coded parts below, there is a list of other new, NOS and used parts that will both go with the car as well as a couple of optional parts that will be negotiated separately i.e. a fully restored Dual Quad setup with air cleaner, linkage and fiberglass hood Other items that have been restored or in stalled are: Front and rear Seats have been restored with new seat covers, burlap, foam and cotton, New assembly line correct headliner and all the bits and pieces that bolt on after the headliner have all been done, Console, gauges and instrument cluster have been restored to like new again. New carpet has not been installed yet, but goes with the car. All new Date Coded tinted glass goes with the car. The original AM Radio has been professionally restored including electronic components that fail over time that makes this radio work like it was brand new. I will let the pictures speak for themselves at this point, but please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or are interested in the car.The car is currently located in Northern California and I will cooperate with shipping arrangements and or pickup of the car.If Interested, you can contact me at 415-272-8133 or email me at digitalpizza@comcast.net Trim Tag Plant = Norwood Mich.
