Description of 1982 Chevrolet Corvette |
Please read all the description and scroll down to see the complete CARFAX report and many high definition pictures. Starts. runs and drives great. $4500 paint job a year ago. looks new. Great all leather interior. Cross Fire Injection deleted for improved reliability and ease of maintenance. installing new manifold and carburetor. distributor. etc. All new exhaust pipes and mufflers. Beautiful bronze t-tops. This is a great investment. The C3 are beginning to go up in value. and it is almost impossible to find a rust free car with low miles. There are some minor details that will need attention. The vacuum line to the headlights need to be connected. the ac blows from lower and upper vents. but not the front. As with any vintage car. these will be minor things that will need attention. but all the major stuff is great. Excellent engine. no smoke or leaks. perfect auto transmission rebuilt a few months ago. shifts fine. It is not a perfect $25K example. so please do not expect that. However. it is a bargain at my low-undisclosed reserve. No warranty of any kind. and buyer is responsible for transport. Will not sell to overseas buyers. NOTES: The car has a complete new exhaust system. Please do not ask if this car will pass emissions in your state or if you can drive it hack 1000 miles with no problem. It is a vintage car. and even though is running perfect. all vintage cars will need maintenance and attention. The car does not leak or smoke. The gas gauge works erratically. so the float may need to be replaced. The fuel tank and all the fuel lines were serviced. Rear hatch mechanism is there but I have not been able to pop it open. The idle is perfect. recently tuned. sounds great. runs great. but again. it is not a new C7. If you understand this. please feel free to bid. I reserve the right to close this auction at any time. as I am selling the car locally and have some people interested. If someone wants to make me an offer to end the auction early. please contact me and I can add a buy it now if the offer is good. I do not have a buy it now in this auction before I have had people hit the buy it now and then not pay. Ebay still charges listing fees of minimum $40. even if the transaction is cancelled. Please. serious bidders only. TRADES: If you have a C3 Convertible. 80-81 Mint C3 and want to trade with me. I am open. I already have another 82 CE that I am keeping. I prefer manual transmission cars. On Apr-10-15 at 16:12:40 PDT. seller added the following information:I have received many inquiries about the condition of the car. The only gauges that have problems are the gas (works erratically and must be the sender) and the tachometer. Oil pressure. temperature. etc. . all work. Brakes feel great. There is not a single drop of oil or any fluid on my driveway even after parking the car for several days. No smoke either. The transmission was rebuilt and is still under warranty. Most of the seals are new. Feels great. but again. it is a 33 year old car. not a new Corvette. I keep getting questions about what it would take to make it a perfect show car. My answer is I do not know. To me. the car is a gem as it is now. but everyone has different standards when it comes to vintage cars. You are welcome to come and inspect it. but please bid to buy it. Car must be sold this week. I lowered the reserve to sell it this weekend. |
