Description of 1987 Chevrolet Blazer

I’ve owned this truck since 1999 and have used it primarily for hauling my boat. While it shows some signs of saltwater exposure, it remains all original since I bought it. I’m the third owner. The engine was replaced with a used 350 long block about 2,000 miles ago, and I recently had the transmission (700R) and transfer case professionally rebuilt by the same mechanic. Both are in excellent condition. The rear end was also completely rebuilt, including a limited-slip differential (posi), for a total cost of $3,600.

I’ve replaced all brake components, including the master cylinder, wheel cylinders, and brake lines, and these new parts will be included with the truck, though they still need to be installed. I hate to sell it, but I’m moving and need to let it go. I recently got married and had to put it in storage for two years. I’ve been driving it to work every day and just installed a new water pump.

The column was recently replaced at a cost of $900, and the tilt steering now works great. The truck just passed smog, and the engine runs very well, with solid numbers on the machine. I disconnected the heater core and air conditioning belt, as the AC isn’t working due to a leak.

It’s a truck that needs a little love—some of the window switches don’t work, but the windows themselves are fully functional. The starter may need replacing soon, but it still starts and runs reliably. The fuel pump is new. This truck is easy to work on, especially with the lift kit.

Feel free to email me with any questions—I know this truck inside and out and am happy to provide more details if needed.
