Description of 1966 Chevrolet Corvette C-2 Stingray

This car was a true garage find. sitting on jack stands and inoperable. I aired up the tires. new battery and starting fluid. and she fired right up. After searching for numbers throughout the car. and as told it was NOT the original block BUT WAS a period correct 327 block. The car was purchased by the previous owner in 1986 from Colorado Classics with the odometer showing 13. 21 miles. Currently the odometer is showing 59. 10 believed to be accurate but I can not guarantee. Searching other numbers around the car I have found all to be correct even down to the glass. The interior including carpet. seats. dash pads are original and in very good shape. The drivers door panel is original but passenger is not. Visors are original I do not think that the side pipes are original to the car do to seeing ground straps on the cross member. The wheels are knock offs. The original color of the car was Mosport Green with green interior. Restoring back to original would make a very attractive and desirable color combination. The frame has very minor surface rust and will clean up with a two stokes of a hand wire brush. This is a California to Colorado and then Texas car. garage kept its entire life. I was told this car was originally owned by a woman in Southern California which owned it for 20 years. and then traded to Colorado Classics. which was then sold to a man in 86. Due to a job transfer in 1986 the car came to Texas. The car remained with the second owner until 2015. when I purchased the car. This a great find both as a driver or a complete restoration. It is unmolested and as close to original as it gets. This is the car you have been waiting for !!What the car needs: As you can see from the pictures. the rear plastic window has a split. The car with need a new fuel pump or fuel pump rebuild. the carb could prob use a rebuild as well. While the brakes are currently working I would go through the brake system to be safe. It is a non power steering and non power disc car. I do not have the original hood. Looks to me like a repo 67 Stinger hood to me. This would make a very good driver or a great restoration !You can reach me by cell.
