Description of 1940 Chevrolet Other

This is a desert car that was purchased in Nevada. I was told that the old man work on the build for years until his health forced him to stop. Much has been done with a little left to complete. The motor is a Chevy 350 V8 that only had a couple hundred miles on it since being rebuilt when I bought it last fall. I stored it until about a month ago and I have driven it about another 300 miles or so. I think the motor still has break in oil in it. I was told that the tranny is a Chevy 350 turbo. The car has been sub framed and now has power steering and power brakes. All the gauges work except the speedometer and clock. Headlights and taillights work. The body is nearly ready to paint and as it was a desert car I do no believe there ever was much if any rust. The battery and gas tank filler spout have been moved to the trunk to give a cleaner look to the body and under the hood. Some of the things left to do are Put new shocks on the front. Heater and wipers have not been hooked up since the motor was installed. a little interior work. a paint job and some of the lights still need connected. I have added a new battery. The car was VIN inspected both in Nevada before transport and in Kansas when it arrived and it is registered. titled. and tagged as a Kansas antique. It has new tires and Corvette wheels. The car is sold as is with no refunds and no returns so please ask questions before bidding.
