Description of 1994 Chevrolet Corvette Z07 |
1994 Corvette Coupe Z07. 6 speed manual. 141k miles 1G1YY22P3R5104847 This is a two owner car. very well maintained and ready for the next owner. I'm helping to sell this car for a co-worker. whose husband passed away about 5 years ago. This was his daily driver. She parked the corvette in her garage and placed a cover over it back in 2010. My co-worker. now friend. found out through work acquaintances that I work on cars on the side. she was ready to sell the vehicle. and asked if I could take a look at her corvette. She initially thought about saving the car for her daughter (12 yrs). their only child. however now just wants the money to purchase a new car. (I’m working on the car for free. I’m just getting my money back for parts I’ve purchased. Everything else goes back to the family) I had the vehicle towed to my home Dec 2014. and in my personal garage began working on the vehicle on the weekends. I made no promises that the corvette would run. however. I thought it would be a good experience for my boys to see a cool corvette project. We replaced the engine oil & radiator fluids. new thermostat. brake fluid. new complete fuel assembly kit ($600). new tires ($700) and reverse light switch ($50). I’ve been driving the car about every weekend for past 4 weeks and feel I’ve got a good assessment of its drive-ability. First of all. it drives great. The torque. from almost any gear. is intoxicating. This V8 gets the job done. 300 hp/340 tq. and makes all the right sounds. On the highway it will do 90 mph all day. the car brakes and turns extremely well. All this was surprising since it sat so long. however. you wouldn’t know it when you drive it. Everything works as it should. power windows. locks. mirrors. seats. radio. etc… The paint is excellent. clearly it was washed/waxed frequently and has not spent a lot of time in the sun. A couple issues that you should know about: 1. AC not working. I’ve check all the fuses/relays. gas volume is there; the compressor just does not come on. (new one $500) heat works great. and dash fan blows hard. 2. Cruise control not working 3. The engine leaks a small amount of oil. back by the firewall 4. Weather stripping is cracking in a few places (complete weather stripping kit $400) 5. Driver’s seat left bolster 4” tear (from sliding in and out of the car) This car does have the poly carbon targa top (not glass). and the tool to remove it. There were 23. 30 corvettes built in 1994. Only 887 were built with the $2. 45 track package Z07 option. This package includes: Z51 springs (stiffer). FX3 selective ride control. quick ratio steering. power steering cooler. bigger brakes. wider front rims (4-9. 5” wide wheels to run 275 tires in each corner). solid sway bars. I’ve already spent $1500 getting the car back on the road. I believe that should be enough to get the next owner motivated to buy. I also thought that someone would like this vehicle to a track car. and doesn’t need everything fixed. The next owner would not have any issues driving this car home. I will accept PayPal for the full amount. however. you must pay the 3% fee. We’ll get a total finalized before you pay. Please let me know if you have any questions. and thanks for looking. |
