Description of 1939 Chevrolet Other |
1939 Chevrolet Master DeluxeHi I am selling myvintage car.I bought the carabout 2 years ago and have had my enjoymentwith it and now looking for a Touring Car 1910-1932 or Phaeton for my son and I to work on togtherand cruise the parades. This ChevyI was told by the previous owner was restored about 10 yearsago so the body has some spots that are either cracking or minor paintchips or dings. The car is a great looking5 footer and draws attention whenever it is seen. The body had some custom work like shaved door handles and trunk and other aread that may have had chrome. The windshield wiper area was shaved andlooks very cool. The car rarely sees rain but if it does the previous owner and I use good old Rain x and with it being flat andstraight glass its pretty easy to drive in the rain. The tires are in good shape and the wheels are an alloy. The carI was told is lowered andhas a very cool stance that way. The engine is a Buick 350 and I was told it wasfrom a middle 70's car. Theengine runs goodI take it out on the freeways and it runs nicely and sounds nicely with what i believe are Flowmasterdual exhaust. Has had a new alluminum radiator installed last year $1100 and a newkey ignition switchrecently this year. Starts easily. The engineI believe is stock but has a nice rumble so may have a cam set up for that or it might be the exhaust that gives it that cool rumble sound. The automatic transmission works great and no problems with it. The car I was told has a Mustang II front suspension and power steering and power brakes. AChrsyler/ Dodge or Plymouth steering column. All the lights work as theyshould. The car has airconditioning to keep you cool. The interiorim not sure what car they were out of but look presentable and no rips in seats or panels. The interior is in a nice navy blue velour like material. The headliner has no rips and is in good condition. This car is a driver.Nice white leather wrapped steerign wheel. The gauges are all made by Dolphin. The gauges all work. The front drivers and passenger windows are power and the rear passenger doors are manual. The passenger rear fender has a dent from suicide door touched fender from someone opneing it to hard. The drivers front fender has large paint chip and two small dings in it. I will update closer photo shots of the dings soon. The car door handles were shaved to have the smooth lookso the doorsopen with a remote control door popper style. The front doors were converted to suicide doors and the rear doors are suicide as well. The trunk was shaved the licence plate was mounted into the trunkwith a third light. The hood opens split style which is cool looking. Theundercarraige looksclean but again its a driver so not spotless like a show car would. The trunk has a secretdoor latch open handle. Now a list of the areas that could use attention or just left as is and still enjoyed. Thewindshield has no cracksnor does the back window. Thedrivers side vent window is cracked but still works whenI use it. The drivers side window has a 3 inch like crack in it. The passenger side rear door glass has cracks in it from a stone hit it out on the freeway. The power windows go down fine they come up slow and sometimes need help being pulled up. The rear windows roll down fine. The door poppers tend to stick at times socould use attention to improve operation of them. TheCD radio does not work and never really used it much so not sure if its loose wire orfuse or something. The door alignments could beadjusted better butI drive it as is.When my car sits out in my driveway on nice days I get people asking to rent this car for Weddings so I have did a few hereand there and it presents well in photos. This car is list AS-IS and NO WARRENTIES. The winning bidder must deposit via PAYPAL $1000 deposit within48 hours of auction end.
