Description of 1988 Chevrolet Caprice |
I can work with you on shipping options. Maybe even contribute to some of the cost. Price is negotiable just send me a message. I'm not a mechanic so please refer to the pictures and the video for details or feel free to ask any questions. 1988 Caprice Estate Station Wagon. Seats 8 Has 2 seats that face the rear. Car was sitting for a while so this is what we did. 1. Changed Spark Plugs2. Changed Spark Plug Wires3. Changed Oil4. Changed BatteryAnd that's about it. All the windows and lock buttons seem to work just fine. (Missing Driver Side Door Lock Switch) All the lights inside and out seem to work just fine. Has some rust on the roof but nothing bad. Also has some rust on some of the chrome on the inside. The belts are old and squeal. They should be replaced. Air blows but it's not cold. Car had a cut fuel line so it has a repair with rubber hose and fittings. We only took the car on a short test drive due to it being uninsured/unregistered but it seemed to do just fine. Had some smoke coming off the passenger side of engine when we shut it off. We think it was just burning off old oil on the side of the engine. We have no clue how the vacuum lines are suppose to hook up so right now it's not hooked up right. The engine sounds good. NO ticks . NO knocks NO rattling. Just the squeal from the belts. It's possible the engine only has 97. 00 miles but for safe measures it is sold at 197. 00 due to information on the title. The Catalytic Converter has been replaced by a straight pipe. It needs some love but has great bones. Please check out the video and ask any questions you may have. Car was sitting for 5 days before I started it up for the video. It runs better once it warms up. Get your own valid XHTML YouTube embed code |
