Description of 1968 Chevrolet Camaro

1968 Camaro SS: 4-speed rare 4-Speed. white/black unmolested Camaro. original miles VIN 124378N445410 This is the way you would have ordered it back in 1968. No frills. just the SS option with a 4-speed transmission - add headers. It was a great year back in 1968 for General Motors. The Camaro was the car to have back then and is still the car to have today in 2015. This Camaro is a nice driver quality car with a great color combination and gets lots of looks everywhere I go. The paint and body work are in nice driver quality condition. The color is the correct factory color "Irmine White" with black vinyl top per the cowl tag (C2). The car has a hurst shifter and a 4-speed transmission. I have no way of documenting this car as a true SS. This Camaro is correct in many ways. I believe the interior is mostly original and the car has the correct 14" rally wheels and trim rings. correct SS valve covers. SS deluxe steering wheel and correct SS paint striping. The original engine was replaced at some point with a 1969 motor. the casting number on the block is 3956618. The carburetor is a 1968 Quadrajet SS carburetor. rebuilt and like new - casting number on the carb is 7028213. The intake has the raised stamping '1968'. The rear quarter panels have the numbers stamped on them under the trunk lid on the sills. All the electrical safety components work - headlights. tail lights. blinkers. horn. etc. Even the key buzzer still wrorks on this car. It has the original AM radio (not working). deluxe stering wheel (very hard to find). spare wheel with jacking equipment. shoulder belts (a rare 1968 option). front and rear spoilers. a very nice vinyl top and front and rear bumper guards. The tires have full tread and the paint looks beautiful. It is getting very hard to find original Camaro’s in this kind of condition. This car gets thumbs up wherever it goes.
