You will be bidding on an original 1932 Chevy 5 Window Coupe. This is an old race car that ran on the dirt tracks in Delaware many years ago. It has a tricked-out suspension that lets it hold the track while making constant left turns. The 1972 Pinto rack and pinion steering (still used on race cars today) doesn’t work. The pinion shaft inner bearing broke when I was rebuilding it and I haven’t found a replacement. The front brake setup is from a 1972 Datsun 521 Pick-up. When I got the car. it had a Chevy 350 engine and a Chevy 350 Turbo transmission. It has a GM 10-bolt rear end. but no driveshaft. The frame looks like a modern GM frame. but I’m not sure what it is. There are several rusted out spots on the inside of the frame that need to be boxed in. The car has a full roll cage that is solid. The steering wheel column. steering shaft and U-joints are new. The column is from Speedway and the shaft and U-joints are Borgeson. The wheels and tires in the pictures don’t come with the car. The custom smoothies front wheels and new front tires in the last picture come with the car. The used rear wheels and tires for the car are in the same picture. The driver side door is on hinges. but the passenger door is just held on with bungee cords. Also included is a Chevy 350 engine from the 1980s. It was cleaned. dismantled. Magnafluxed. and is in good shape – no cracks. This car has a low reserve. Call Chuck if you have any questions (703-478-6780). Payment. $500 down in 24 hours after auction. Pick up and full payment in 7 days.
