Description of 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 |
1957 Chevrolet Belair - The engine is a 350/300HP V8 with headers and a larger cam. The transmission is a turbo 400 that is mated to a B&M Quarter Stick shifter. The car rides on Weld Racing Wheels with tires that have great thread and will last a long time. I drive the car quite often and it has never let me down. This car can be driven anywhere although the rear gearing is quite low and with the narrow front tires and the wide rear tires it really isn't meant as a highway cruiser. although I use to work over 40 miles from home and I drove it during the summer about once a week to work when the weather was nice and it always handled flawlessly. The gauges all work except the speedometer. It could just be the cable but I haven't checked into it. The car is also fitted with a fuel cell in the trunk and a battery shut off in the rear bumper. The body is in great condition with no rust and no dents. The chrome and gold trim are in very nice condition with only some very minor dings and a few minor pits in the pot metal. The front and rear bumpers have been powder coated and I think really set this car apart from all the other out there. although there is a scrap on the passenger side of the bumper. The interior is in good condition. |
