Description of 1970 Chevrolet Camaro |
1970 Camaro Sport Coupe. Daily driver that is ready for paint. Very Solid with all your typical rust removed and repaired! Vehicle runs and currently registered until August 05. Clean California Title. It is not a rotisserie build. It is a daily driver. It does have some surface rust in some areas but are easily removed. I recently took vehicle to a paint shop and was informed that repairing is just a matter of sanding down during body work. No other metal replacement is needed. It is pretty straight and the shop guy was surprised to see how solid the car was! It does have some previous repair work on the passenger rear end where it is visible from the trunk side. but was repaired back in the day. Original quarter panels with no rust (see pics) but does have some light body filler. If you are a body and paint guy. this one is a great for saving on cost of painting. Original trim is black interior with classic white exterior and Vinyl top! I have the build sheet for it but not all info is there but enough to decode this info. Options are listed. Originally a 307 V-8 2barrel. Use this body to build your rusted out Z28/RS/SS or clone or just simply paint and drive this ride. New cowl panel and underneath panel cut away and replaced (welded) with new metal! Floor pans both front and rear are solid as well as trunk! Trunk area had 2 rust holes about 3mm all around and were drilled out slightly larger and currently repaired with Pour15. Pic from trunk is before repairs were done. There was no need to replace trunk floor panel so trunk has rust proofing undercoating and spatter paint. This Camaro body was all original when I purchased except hood. Has 2" cowl hood. I have the original fender that was replaced with an aftermarket and that can be repaired with a lower panel if you wanted to install instead. All electrical. gauge cluster. headlights. brake lights interior lights were functioning prior to removing dash for cowl panel replacement. I inspected all wiring and has no cracking on them. Dash assembly is currently disassembled to prep for paint. I can re-install for you if purchased but will have missing dash cap as I have not purchased it. The dash cap was trashed but the plastic piece is in tact as well as glove box trim and all lower pieces for dash with NO damage and clean. I only have one door panel. other was trashed but kept the good parts from it. I have all original interior but some may need to be replaced or repaired like the center console. It has some cracks where it bolts down to floor. Engine is a newer 87-91 5. 7 with Vortec heads. Edelbrock intake and a 4 barrel Weber carb. Also has a mild cam and headers. Sounds Awesome and it is very strong. Not sure of actual mileage on engine. Transmission is an Automatic 3 speed TH350. I think. I was told it is the original. Rear axle is also original and geared at 2. 73 according to build sheet. 10 bolt not a posi. Please see pictures attached for more info. New Parts:- Front fender and wheel well on passenger side (due to some rust on original parts). Front and rear windshield. rear not installed. Radiator housing also new with bushings and hardware. - Suspension. has new springs. shocks. and all "A" arm bushings. top. lower and inner! have been replaced as well as steering linkage ball joints. - All Body bushings have been replaced along with new hardware. - New front rotors. brakes all around and rear hardware with wheel cylinders. - Both bucket seat frames were sandblasted. repainted and recovered with new foam. Only driver seat installed at the moment but passenger is also recovered with new foam as well. Headrest not currently installed. - New weather strips for entire car still in package. waiting for paint as well before install. - New front body hardware. - New heater core. currently capped off. - New plastic cover for gauge cluster. not yet installed. - New throttle cable and HP Air Filter along with recent oil change/spark plugs. - Battery and starter. I have over $2. 00 in new parts in car at the moment with all receipts to show for. NEEDS:- Paint job. nbsp;dash cap. passenger door panel. rear seat recovering. dome light assembly. headliner. sun visors. seatbelts (have originals but should be replaced in my opinion). I have the vehicle listed for sale locally as well. Vehicle is being sold "as is" and used condition. Please ask questions before bidding so I may give you a response and post it for all to view. Thank you and good luck. |
