Description of 1968 Chevrolet Other Pickups

I am selling my home and moving across the country to buy another. This truck will sell. or go into a family members garage until I have a place and the time for it later in time. The good new is its already old and is getting better to own every year. I will put better pictures as soon as the weather clears up. 1968 Chevrolet C20 Long Bed Step Side. Not matching numbers. The engine was originally a 327. I have a blown 350 that I pulled out of it. This was my uncles truck for over the last 30 years. I traded my truck for his to restore and enjoy it at a later time as I fell that it is a pretty rare truck. and the iron is absolutely unique. The quality of the iron is unmatched. it was hand polished not chrome. It took my uncle a retired iron fabricator over 1 year of his life to create and polish all the iron on this truck. This truck has way to much new stuff to list. The new Transmission is a TH400. Dana rear end gears ratio unknown to me but is in good working condition. It was repainted and completely restored minus a new crate engine in 2011. The body and paint shop did poor prep work resulting in the issues I have now 4 years later from sitting outside. the damage is mostly on the top of the truck and the drivers door. I have thousands of dollars in receipts from Tuckers for all the new parts in this truck. This classic does have freezing A/C and great heater as well. power brakes. power steering. tilt steering wheel and all the parts that go in the engine compartment including a solid 350 engine to make it complete run and the original Chevrolet bench seat which is covered with the tarp in the bed of the truck. Notice the oak wood and stainless straps and bolts. 2 of the boards are cracked. The other two can be redone. I also have the wheel wells. They are beautiful black. I removed them to keep from damaging them when I pulled the motor. This truck in itself is rare with the long bed. but the iron makes it like nothing else on the road and the iron can not be replaced with money as the iron is all custom work and very few men could even create such quality work. I do have an extra engine that I was going to install. I have been working to many hours. I just don't have time. money. or soon a place for this truck right now. This truck has some serious potential. The condition is unreal for the age. I can say with confidence. You will not find another like this.
